Abstract

On plonge les grilles il dans une solution aqueuse d'acide sulfurique, on fait passer un courant électrique entre les grilles 11 de manière que la température de la solution monte jusqu'au-dessus de 80 degrés C sans excéder 100 degrés C, le passage du courant convertissant la pâte en matière active, on arrête le passage du courant lorsqu'une quantité suffisante de la pâte a été convertie pour donner aux plaques une charge qui excède 50 % de la valeur finale requise, on laisse les plaques reposer dans la solution pendant au moins 15 minutes, on recommence à faire passer du courant électrique pour donner aux plaques une charge ayant la valeur désirée, on vidange ensuite la solution d'acide sulfurique du bac et on ferme le bac 14 de façon étanche.
