Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un dispersant efficace pour le carbonate de calcium. On introduit dans une dispersion aqueuse de particules de carbonate de calcium un agent de dispersion qui est un sel de copolymère d'acide acrylique et d'acide maléique dans lequel le rapport des monomères est compris entre 100/5 et 100/200, la masse moléculaire du polymère étant de 2 000 à 20 000, et le sel utilisé étant un sel de métal alcalin ou d'ammonium, la proportion efficace du copolymère étant d'environ 1 à 5 % par rapport au poids du CaCO3 . Cette dispersion est utilisable pour l'enduction du papier et lui confère d'excellentes caractéristiques.
