Abstract

L'invention concerne un adaptateur permettant d'utiliser une lampe à décharge à arc de haute intensité dans un circuit prévu pour une lampe à incandescence. Selon la présente invention, l'adaptateur comporte des moyens permettant de le relier à une source de tension alternative, des moyens permettant de le relier au circuit prévu pour une lampe à incandescence, des moyens permettant d'une part d'engendrer une impulsion électrique de manière à mettre la lampe à décharge en ignition et d'autre part de limiter le courant traversant cette lampe. Application : amélioration du rendement des systèmes d'éclairage.
