Abstract
Verre optique à base de borate d'une résistance accrue à la cristallisation et d'une teneur améliorée aux acides, présentant des indices de réfraction ne > 1,74 et des nombres d'Abbe Ve > 50 et contenant au moins de l'oxyde de lanthane, de l'oxyde de thorium et de l'oxyde de bore. Le verre présente la composition centésimale suivante : La 2 O3 : 35 à 44 % en poids; ThO2 : 16 à 27 % en poids; B2 O3 : 29 à 35 % en poids; Al2 O3 : 2 à 8 % en poids; ZrO2 : 0 à 8 % en poids; SiO2 : 0 à 4 % en poids; MgO : 0 à 4 % en poids; CdF2 : 0 à 1,5 % en poids. L'invention est applicable à la fabrication d'éléments de construction optiques de haute valeur, comme par exemple des objectifs photographiques.
