Abstract

Produits vulcanisés du genre caoutchouc chargés en silice ou en silicate de calcium, formés à partir de mélange d'un polymère, de silice ou de silicate de calcium et d'un additif qu'on soumet à cisaillement à une température d'environ 100 à 175 degrés C, qu'on refroidit, après quoi on ajoute des agents vulcanisants et on vulcanise à chaud. Le polymère utilisé est un polymère hydrocarboné vulcanisable portant d'environ 1,5 à 80 milliéquivalents de groupes hydroxy pour 100 g, la quantité de silice ou de silicate de calcium est d'environ 5 à 100 parties pour 100 parties du polymère, et l'additif est une amine primaire, secondaire ou tertiaire en proportions d'environ 0,5 à 5 parties pour 100 parties du polymère, un acide organique ou son sel en proportions d'environ 1 à 5 parties pour 100 parties du polymère ou la magnésie en proportions d'environ 1 à 10 parties pour 100 parties du polymère. Ces produits vulcanisés de couleur pâle ont des propriétés physiques qui se rapprochent de celles des caoutchoucs chargés au noir de carbone.
