Abstract

L'invention a trait à un procédé de traitement d'éponge de fer. Les particules d'éponge de fer, aussitôt après leur fabrication, sont incorporées à un mélange de poussière de chaux vive et d'additifs pulvérulents qui améliorent l'adhérence, comme du fer et son oxyde, en particulier Fe2 O3 et Fe3 O 4 , et sont humidifiées avec une quantité d'eau inférieure à celle qui est nécessaire pour l'hydratation complète de la chaux vive. Application notamment à la protection de l'éponge de fer contre une réoxydation et/ou une corrosion lors de l'entreposage et du transport.
