Abstract

Procédé d'hydrocarboxylation d'alcanoates de vinyle et nouveaux produits ainsi obtenus. Dans ce procédé, on fait réagir un alcanoate de vinyle avec de l'oxyde de carbone et de l'eau, dans un milieu réactionnel liquide utilisant un catalyseur au palladium stabilisé par une organophosphine tertiaire, l'eau étant ajoutée au cours de la réaction en quantité moindre que des quantités stoechiométriques, en se basant sur l'alcanoate de vinyle. La présente invention est particulièrement utile pour l'hydrocarboxylation d'acétate de vinyle, fournissant de l'acide alpha -acétoxypropionique qui, par hydrolyse, conduit à l'acide lactique.
