Abstract
Le moteur comporte une chambre de combustion présentant un col rétréci, prévue pour communiquer à l'air un mouvement tourbillonnaire, et où le combustible est injecté dans l'air en mouvement pour former un film sur la paroi de la chambre, où est utilisé un injecteur dans lequel l'organe de commande, dans la plage inférieure de régime et/ou de charge du moteur, ne libère qu'un seul ou quelques trous d'injection, et dans la plage supérieure de régime et/ou de charge libère un deuxième ou un nombre supplémentaire de trous d'injection, où le rapport entre le diamètre le plus grand de la chambre de combustion et le diamètre de son col se situe entre 1,05 et 1,25, où la fréquence de rotation de l'air se situe entre 135 et 185 Hz, et où la durée d'injection, à pleine charge, s'étend sur plus de 20 degrés de rotation de vilebrequin. Par une meilleure combustion en bas régime on évite l'émission de fumée bleue nocive.
