Abstract

L'invention a pour objet la préparation de 1,2-polybutadiène ayant une teneur en vinyle d'au moins 70 %. On met en contact du 1,3-butadiène avec un catalyseur comprenant un composé de cobalt, un composé organique de phosphine, un trialkyl-aluminium et de l'eau en une quantité de 0,1 à 1,2 mole par mole du trialkyl-aluminium, en présence d'un régulateur de la masse moléculaire, ce régulateur etant un halogénure d'alkyl-aluminium utilisé à raison d'au moins 0,01 mole par mole du trialkyl-aluminium, ce qui permet d'obtenir un 1,2-polybutadiène ayant une masse moléculaire réglée en l'absence d'une chute de l'activité de polymérisation et sans changement de la teneur en. vinyle et de la cristallinité du polymère. De préférence on utilise l'halogénure d'alkyl-aluminium à raison de 0,05 à 1,0 mole par mole du trialkyl-aluminium.
