Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de craquage catalytique. Pour éliminer au moins partiellement les oxydes de soufre de l'effluent gazeux du régénérateur d'une unité de craquage catalytique à lit fluidisé alimentée avec une charge contenant des composés soufrés et les convertir en hydrogène sulfuré dans la zone de craquage, on les met en contact avec au moins un composé d'une terre rare, de préférence du cérium ou un mélange de terres rares riches en cérium, supporté par des particules discrètes d'alumine. Les particules d'alumine peuvent faire partie d'un catalyseur composite de craquage ou être distinctes des particules de catalyseur et mélangées à celles-ci.
