L’invention concerne un système de pipetage comprenant : un bâti (100) comprenant une base (2) muni d’au moins un plateau (9) configuré pour accueillir au moins un consommable, et une tour (3) s’étendant depuis ladite base (2) et comprenant au moins un rail de guidage linéaire (30) s’étendant selon un axe vertical (V) ;une tête de pipetage (1) ;des moyens d’entrainement en translation de ladite tête de pipetage (1) ;des moyens de contrôle (500) comprenant :des moyens de mesure (501) d’une information représentative dudit écartement de ladite tête de pipetage (1) avec ladite base (2) ;des moyens d’analyse (502) de ladite information représentative dudit écartement de ladite tête de pipetage (1) avec ladite base (2), de sorte à en déduire ladite position de ladite tête de pipetage (1) ;des moyens de commande (503) configurés pour activer ledit moteur (50) en fonction de ladite position de ladite tête de pipetage (1) et d’au moins une butée prédéfinie, ladite au moins une butée prédéfinie étant située entre ladite position maximale et ladite position minimale de la tête de pipetage (1).
