Abstract

675,845. Filters. CIBA Ltd. Jan. 12, 1951 [Feb. 3, 1950], No. 967/51. Class 46 [Also in Group XXVIII] A supporting device for a flexible tube filter comprises a number of rings 2 of approximately equal size mounted on a central support, e.g.. a perforated discharge tube 1, by spokes 3, and spaced from one another. A flexible tube filter 7 is threaded over the supporting device from one end and secured at 10. Constrictions in spaces 8 are then formed by cords or similar means and the filter is finally secured at 11. The tube 1 may be replaced by a solid rod provided at its lower end with an apertured plate having a flange on its upper surface round which flange the lower end of the filter is secured.
