Abstract

Περιγράφει ένα σύστημα διαχωρισμού και ακτινοβολίας πολυσυστατικών υγρών που περιέχει ένα φυγοκεντρικό τύμπανο και μια πηγή ακτινοβολούμενης ενέργειας τοποθετημένη μέσα στο τύμπανο. Σε μια πρώτη ενσωμάτωση ένας αναλώσιμος θάλαμος διαχωρισμού/ακτινοβολίας παρέχεται νε ένα κυλινδρικό εξωτερικό διαμέρισμα τοποθετημένο μέσα στο τύμπανο και απέναντι από την πηγή της ακτινοβολούμενης ενέργειας. Πλήρες αίμα τροφοδοτείται στον θάλαμο μέσω μιας δυναμικής στεγανοποίησης που είναι τοποθετημένη στο κέντρο του θαλάμου. Καθώς ο θάλαμος περιστρέφεται, το αίμα διαχωρίζεται έτσι ώστε η ενέργεια από την πηγή να περνάει μέσα από το εσωτερικό τοίχωμα του θαλάμου και το διαχωρισμένο στρώμα πλάσματος για να ακτινοβολεί το στρώμα λευκών και αιμοπεταλίων. Σε μια δεύτερη ενσωμάτωση, ένα ή και τα δύο από τα τοιχώματα του εξωτερικού διαμερίσματος του θαλάμου είναι εύκαμπτα έτσι ώστε ο θάλαμος να διαστέλλεται καθώς αίμα διοχετεύεται με αντλία μέσα του και να υποχωρεί καθώς το αίμα αδειάζεται με την αντλία προς τα έξω. ω
