Abstract

Η έξοδος μιας οπτικής διατάξεως η οποία περιλαμβάνει ένα διεγερθέν μέσον κέρδους ενισχύσεως (SBS) σκεδάσεως Brillouin ενισχύεται εις μιαν περιοχήν εντάσεων δέσμης εισόδου δια δημιουργίας ενός μέσου κέρδους ενισχύσεως το οποίον έχει ένα δεδομένο κέρδος ενισχύσεως SBS δια μίαν δεδομένην έντασιν δέσμης εισόδου και τροποποίησιν του μέσου κέρδους ενισχύσεως προς ελάττωσιν του συντελεστού κέρδους ενισχύσεως SBS αυτού. Δια ελαττώσεως του συντελεστού κέρδους ενισχύσεως SBS, είναι δυνατόν να μετριασθεί η κυριαρχία του SBS και η καταστολή της διεγερθείσης σκεδάσεως RAMAN (SBS) και η πιστότης εξόδου του συστήματος συζεύξεως φάσεως εν σχέσει προς την είσοδόν του είναι δυνατόν να ενισχυθή σημαντικώς. Μηχανισμοί δια την ελάττωσιν του συντελεστού κέρδους ενισχύσεως SBS περιλαμβάνουν αύξησιν του συντελεστού ιξώδους του μέσου, της θερμικής αγωγιμότητος και/ή της διαχύσεως ή εξαναγκασμόν της ζώνης χαλαρώσεως του μέσου να συμπέση με την συχνότητα των φωνονίων τα οποία λαμβάνουν μέρος εις την διαδικασίαν SBS. Δύο διαφορετικά μέσα είναι δυνατόν να αναμιχθούν μεταξύ των εις διαφόρους αναλογίας ώστε να τροποποιήσουν προοδευτικώς την συνολικήν ενίσχυσιν κέρδους SBS του μέσου όσον μεταβάλλεται προοδευτικώς η έντασις δέσμης εισόδου. ω
