Abstract

Η παρούσα εφεύρεση αφορά διατάξεις για επεξεργασία καυσαερίου με βάση μεταλλικούς αφρούς. Με τη χρήση κατάλληλων καταλυτικών επικαλύψεων, η διάταξη μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως καταλυτικός μετατροπέαςγια βενζινοκινητήρες και ντιζελοκινητήρες, περιλαμβανομένων οξειδωτικών καταλυτών, τριοδικών καταλυτών, καταλυτών de-NOx και οξείδωσης αμμωνίας. Η δομή του αφρού προσφέρει υψηλή επιφάνεια εναλλαγής και υψηλούς ρυθμούς ανάμιξης, που ενισχύουν την καταλυτική δράση. Η διάταξη μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί παράλληλα για τη διήθηση στερεών σωματιδίων σε κινητήρες ντίζελ και βενζινοκινητήρες απευθείας έγχυσης με διήθηση «βαθιάς κλίνης». Η παρούσα εφεύρεση στηρίζεται σε μια σύλληψη ακτινικής ροής πολλαπλώνδιαδρομών, χρησιμοποιώντας περισσότερα του ενός στοιχεία αφρού, διαχωρισμένα με διάφραγμα. Η διήθηση, η πτώση πίεσης και η καταλυτική δράση μπορούν να ενισχυθούν χρησιμοποιώντας μεταβλητό πορώδες αφρού στην αξονική και στην ακτινική διεύθυνση, καθώςκαι μη ομοιόμορφη καταλυτική επικάλυψη. Στην τελευταία περίπτωση, μπορούν να ενσωματωθούν περισσότερες της μιας καταλυτικές δράσεις σε ένα μόνο κέλυφος. Σε μια εναλλακτική εφαρμογή, επιπλέον (δευτερεύοντα) στοιχεία αφού τοποθετούνται εντός των κύριων στοιχείων αφρού. Τα διαφράγματα στην είσοδο και την έξοδο του εξωτερικού κελύφους σχεδιάζονται με τέτοιο τρόπο ώστε να επιτρέπουν την κατανομή της ροής ανάμεσα στα κύρια και στα δευτερεύοντα στοιχεία αφρού σύμφωνα με τις αντίστοιχες ροϊκές αντιστάσεις.
