Abstract
Η παρούσα εφεύρεση σχετίζεται με την αποκάλυψη νέων συμπλοκών ενώσεων δισθενούς ρουθηνίου (Ru11) και τρισθενούς ροδίου (Rh111) με πιθανή αντικαρκινική - αντιμεταστατική δράση. Αυτά τα σύμπλοκα περιλαμβάνουν δύο ή τρεις πολυπυριδινικούς δισχιδείς υποκαταστάτες ή ένα τρισχιδή και ένα δισχιδή υποκαταστάτη, οι δυνατές παραλλαγές των οποίων αποδίδονται με τους γενικούς τύπους (I), (Π) και (III). Η παρούσα εφεύρεση παρέχει επίσης τις μεθόδους παρασκευής των νέων κατιονικών ή ουδέτερων συμπλοκών ενώσεων Ru(II) και Rh(III) με πολυπυριδινικούς υποκατάστατες του αναφέρθηκαν παραπάνω. Επί πλέον στην συγκεκριμένη εφεύρεση περιγράφονται οι μέθοδοι εφαρμογής των νέων ενώσεων, σε βιολογικές διεργασίες όπως η αναστολή της συσσώρευσης των αιμοπεταλίων που προκαλείται από τον Παράγοντα Ενεργοποίησης των Αιμοπεταλίων (PAF) καθώς και η μελέτη της αντικαρκινική τους δράσης. Γίνεται ακόμη αναφορά και στον πιθανό τρόπο δράσεως των ενώσεων αυτών σχετικά με την αναστολή του PAF. Προκαταρκτικά πειράματα για την βιολογική δράση τους έδωσαν ενδείξεις για αντικαρκινική δράση σε ανθρώπινες καρκινικές κυτταρικές σειρές από μαστό ανθρώπου MCF-7 (αδενοκαρκίνωμα σε αρχικό στάδιο).
