Abstract

Η καρφίδα συγκράτησης τενόντιων μοσχευμάτων αποτελείται από κεφαλή, σώμα σταθερής διαμέτρου, μία τουλάχιστον εγκάρσια οπή στο ουραίο τμήμα της και μία διαμήκη. Η προεξοχή στην κεφαλή αποτελεί μέρος κύκλου και είναι σταθερή. Οι εγκάρσιες οπές στο ουραίο τμήμα της καρφίδας χρησιμοποιούνται για την συγκράτηση των μοσχευμάτων. Η διαμήκης οπή χρησιμοποιείται για την ευθυγράμμιση της καρφίδας αλλά και για την προώθησή της, αφού διαθέτει σπείρωμα για προωθητήρα ή εξολκέα. Η καρφίδα αυτή καθηλώνεται μέσα σε οστικό τούνελ, σταθεροποιείται στο οστό από την διευρυμένη κεφαλή ενώ από την οπή περνά ο τένοντας που έλκοντας τον σταθεροποιεί την κεφαλή στηντελική της θέση. Η καρφίδα έχει εφαρμογή στην σταθεροποίηση μοσχευμάτων (τενόντων κλπ) σε ορθοπεδικές εγχειρήσεις (χιαστών συνδέσμων γόνατος κλπ).
