ία ζιζανιοκτόνος σύνθεσις χρήσιμος δια την καταπολέμησιν της αναπτύξεως ζιζανίων και χόρτων ήτις περιλαμβάνει ως δραστικόν συστατικόν αυτής τουλάχιστον μίαν ένωσιν νιτροφαίνυλο αιθέρος και ένα φορέα δια τούτον, χαρακτηριζομένη εκ του γεγονότος ότι ηρηθείσα ένωσις νιτροφαίνυλο αιθέρος είναι ο 2-μεθυλοφαίνυλο 4-νιτροφαινυλαιθήρ, ο 4-μεθυλοφαίνυλο 4-νιτροφαινυλαιθήρ ή ο 3,5-διμεθυλοφαίνυλο 4-νιτροφαινυλαιθήρ.
