Claims (9)

1. Une résine acrylique stabilisée ayant
(a) un tronc de polymère acrylique qui est insoluble dans un solvant organique et, greffé à celui-ci, (2) plusieurs constituants stabilisants sensiblement linéaires ayant un squelette acrylique, chacun d'eux étant soluble dans un solvant organique et ayant une extrémité de la molécule de stabilisant greffée au tronc,
la résine acrylique stabilisée étant sensiblement exempte de polymère linéaire non polymérisable.
2. Une résine acrylique stabilisée de la revendication 1, dans laquelle les constituants stabilisants linéaires ont un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre inférieur à 25 000 environ.
3. Une résine acrylique stabilisée de la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle les constituants stabilisants sont de taille sensiblement uniforme et présentent une dispersité d'environ 1,0 à 2,5.
4. Une résine acrylique stabilisée de la revendication 1, 2 ou 3, dans laquelle le constituant stabilisant comprend, de plus, des groupes fonctionnels non polymérisables non terminaux.
5. Une résine acrylique stabilisée de la revendication 4, dans laquelle les groupes fonctionnels non polymérisables non terminaux sont choisis parmi les groupes époxy, amine, hydroxyle bloqué, acide bloqué et amide.
6. Une résine acrylique de l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans laquelle le tronc est préparé à partir d'au moins un monomère choisi dans le groupe formé par l'acide méthacrylique, l'acrylate d'hydroxyéthyle, le méthacrylate de méthyle, l'acrylate de méthyle, le styrène et le méthacrylate de glycidyle.
7. Une composition de revêtement comprenant une substance filmogène, un milieu liquide et une résine acrylique stabilisée de l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6.
8. Une composition de revêtement de la revendication 7, comprenant de plus un pigment.
9. Un procédé pour la préparation d'une résine acrylique stabilisée, consistant à mettre un monomère acrylique insaturé en contact avec un système catalytique en présence d'un initiateur contenant du silicium, de l'étain ou du germanium et possédant un premier groupe fonctionnel faisant partie de sa structure pour former une chaîne polymère comportant le premier groupe fonctionnel à l'une de ses extrémités ; et
mettre la chaîne polymère résultante en contact, dans des conditions de réaction, avec une molécule qui possède un second groupe fonctionnel réactif avec le premier groupe fonctionnel et qui peut être polymérisée avec d'autres monomères polymérisables pour former un constituant stabilisant ayant un squelette acrylique ; et mettre le constituant stabilisant résultant en contact, dans des conditions de réaction, avec un monomère insaturé pour produire la résine acrylique stabilisée.
