Claims (10)

  1. Procédé de transmission d'informations de télévision, comportant les étapes de
    génération d'un signal numérique (104) représentant les informations de télévision, le signal numérique comportant au moins des premier et deuxième trains de données d'éléments de données,
    la mise en correspondance par voie (121) du signal numérique, et
    la transmission du signal mis en correspondance sur (141,151) une voie de transmission,
       CARACTERISE PAR
    l'étape de mise en correspondance étant telle que la probabilité d'erreur induite par la voie pour les éléments de données du premier train de données est inférieure à la probabilité d'erreur induite par la voie pour les éléments de données du deuxième train de données, l'étape de mise en correspondance comportant l'étape de
    sélection d'une séquence de points de signal à partir d'une constellation prédéfinie de points de signal pour représenter les éléments de données, la constellation étant telle que la distance minimum entre les points de signal représentant des valeurs différentes des éléments de données dudit premier train de données est supérieure à la distance minimum entre les points de signal représentant les valeurs différentes des éléments de données dudit deuxième train de données.
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite étape de mise en correspondance comporte l'étape de codage en treillis (215,216) du signal numérique.
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite constellation est une constellation de N dimensions, où N ≥ 2.
  4. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite étape de génération comporte les étapes de
    réception des informations, et
    codage de source des informations en utilisant un code source prédéterminé.
  5. Procédé selon la revendication 4, dans lequel ladite étape de génération comporte l'étape de traitement des informations à source codée en utilisant au moins un premier algorithme de traitement prédéterminé, ledit traitement étant effectué pour les éléments de données dudit premier train de données indépendamment du traitement effectué pour les éléments de données dudit deuxième train de données.
  6. Dispositif destiné à être utilisé dans un système de transmission numérique du type dans lequel des points de signal provenant d'une constellation de points de signal prédéterminée représentant des mots de données associés respectifs sont communiqués à partir dudit émetteur sur une voie de transmission à un récepteur, lesdits mots de données étant composés d'éléments de données individuels, ladite constellation étant divisée en groupes de points de signal et chacun desdits groupes étant divisé en sous-groupes de points de signal, ledit dispositif comportant
    un moyen sensible (121) à au moins l'un des éléments de données de chaque mot de données pour identifier le groupe particulier desdits groupes qui comporte le point de signal associé audit mot de données et sensible à au moins un autre des éléments de données de ce mot pour identifier le sous-groupe particulier des sous-groupes à l'intérieur dudit groupe particulier qui comporte le point de signal associé audit mot de données, et
    un moyen de génération (141,151) d'un signal représentant un point de signal à partir du sous-groupe identifié et d'application de ce signal à ladite voie de communication,
       CARACTERISE EN CE QUE    lesdits groupes et sous-groupes sont disposés de telle sorte que la distance entre les points de signal de groupes différents est supérieure à la distance entre les points de signal du même groupe.
  7. Dispositif selon la revendication 6, dans lequel les éléments de données qui identifient ledit groupe particulier représentent des informations plus importantes que les éléments de données qui identifient ledit sous-groupe particulier.
  8. Dispositif selon la revendication 6, dans lequel lesdites informations sont des informations de signaux de télévision.
  9. Dispositif selon la revendication 6, dans lequel lesdits mots de données sont des mots de données codés par treillis.
  10. Dispositif selon la revendication 6, dans lequel ladite constellation est une constellation de N dimensions, où N ≥ 2.
