Abstract

Circuit comprises the following:- one of the connections carrying the base signal, e.g. one of a pair of welding cables is linked in series by sec. winding of a coupling transformer. A D.C. power source connected to an oscillator. A thyristor connected to the output of the oscillator via its control electrode. One of the main electrodes of the thyristor, pref. anode, is connected by the prim. winding of the coupling transformer. The other main electrode of the thyristor, pref. cathode, is connected to the other pole of the power source. A bi-polar protective circuit is also provided.
