1306602 Acylamino- and thioacylaminoalkyl - phenylsulphonyl - (imino - imidazolidines) CIBA-GEIGY AG 3 Sept 1970 [4 Sept 1969] 42106/70 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Novel, therapeutic compounds I (including salts thereof) where R 1 is C 1 to C 6 alkyl, C 3 to C 5 alkenyl, C 5 to C 8 cyclo-alkyl or -alkenyl, or phenalkyl of up to 9 C, R 2 is H, Me or Et, R 3 is C 1 to C 6 alkyl, m is 2 or 3, n is 1 to 4, Y is O or S and Z is O, S, SO or SO 2 , are made by reacting II with R 3 .Z.C n H 2n C( :Y)OH or with a reactive, derivative thereof (including, e.g. dithiocarboxylic acid esters). Methoxydithioacetic acid benzyl ester is prepared by interacting hydrogen sulphide and methoxythioacetamido benzyl ester hydrochloride which is, in turn, prepared by interacting methoxyacetonitrile and benzylmercaptan in the presence of hydrogen chloride.
