1475806 Pharmaceutical compositions of 5- Halo-1, 3-diphenyl pyrazole-4-acetic acids BYK GULDEN LOMBERG CHEMISCHE FABRIK GmbH 14 Aug 1974 [16 Aug 1973] 35740/74 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of the formula I in which Ph 1 and Ph 2 are the same or different phenyl radicals in which the substituents thereon, where present, are not hydrolysable and halogen is a fluorine chlorine or bromine atom or their salts with organic or inorganic bases and a pharmaceutically acceptable medicament vehicle show anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic activity when administered orally, parenterally, topically or rectally. The compositions may also contain other inflammatory agents such as a corticosteroid, analgesics, particularly pyrazolone derivatives e.g. prednisolone and dexamethasone, muscle relaxants such as pyridazine derivatives and carbamates, antiulcerogenics, antiacid materials such as magnesium trisilicate and aluminium hydroxide, substances which encourage local blood circulation such as nicotinic acid derivatives and dimethyl sulphoxide, local anesthetics such as lidocain and vitamins.
