Abstract
1449524 Salicylamide and sulphenamide derivatives SOC D'ETUDES SCIENTIFIQUES ET INDUSTRIELLES DE L'ILE - DEFRANCE 22 July 1974 [24 July 1973] 32363/74 Heading C2C Salicylamide derivatives of Formula I in which R 1 is H, alkyl or alkenyl; R 2 is H, amino or a group capable of being converted into amino by hydrolysis or reduction, R 4 is tertiary aminoalkyl; and X is H, halogen or alkylsulphonyl, are prepared by reacting a derivative of salicylic acid of formula or a salt of such a compound with a novel sulphenamide derivative of formula in which R 3 is an aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic or heterocyclic residue, in the presence of an organic compound of trivalent phosphorus. The sulphenamide may also be formed in situ by reacting an amine of formula H 2 N-R 4 with an organic disulphide containing the radical R 3 . The compounds of Formula I have pharmacological properties.
