1527375 3 - (1 - Aminoethylidene) - 5 - cinnamoyl - 2H - pyran - 2,6(3H) - diones SMITHKLINE CORP 11 Sept 1975 [2 Oct 1974] 37417/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the formula wherein R is (C 3 to C 6 ) straight or branchedchain alkyl, phenyl, halophenyl, hydroxyphenyl, methoxyphenyl, p-mercaptophenyl or aminophenyl and R 1 is H, OH, methoxy or dimethoxy; which may be obtained by reacting a compound of the formula with an aldehyde of the formula Pharmaceutical compositions useful in the treatment of allergic diseases comprise the compounds of Formula I above together with a pharmaceutical carrier. They may be administered orally, parenterally or by inhalation.
