Abstract
1510022 Coating compositions of fluorocarbon polymers E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 3 April 1975 [3 April 1974] 13682/75 Heading C3V A coating composition for providing non- stick cookware comprises (a) at least one polymer of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers fully substituted with fluorine or a combination of fluorine and chlorine (b) at least one polymer of one or more ethyleneically unsaturated monomers other than those defined in (a) which polymer depolymerizes below the decomposition temperature of (a), (c) a compound of Co, Fe, Bi, Ce or Mn which decomposes at 100-500‹ C. to give an oxide or hydroxide and (d) a liquid carrier. The composition exemplified contains PTFE, a terpolymer of methylmethacrylate, ethyl acrylate and methacrylic acid, cerium nitrate, TiO2 toluene, nbutyl carbitol, oleic acid and water.
