Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the thermal stability and to obtain powder for processing suitable to thick film forming, by incorporating a specific amount of an alkali metal hydroxide or carbonate into the copolymer as a heat stabilizer.
CONSTITUTION: A tetrafluoroethylene (TFE)/perfluoro (alkyl vinyl ether)(PFVE) copolymer powder is incorporated with 0.1W1,000ppm of a hydroxide or carbonate of an alkali metal, e.g. Li, Na, or K, to improve the heat stability. The resulting powder has improved effects on formation of films thicker than 100μ, without foaming products.
