Abstract

A process and apparatus for intermingling filaments of a yarn or yarns with a fluid-jet device employs long narrow tubular guides to peripherally constrain vibrations in the yarn upstream, and optionally downstream, of the intermingling zone. The apparatus and process can be used with differentially dyeable bulked supply yarns to make a heather dyeable yarn for carpets. <IMAGE> [GB2085040A]
