Claims (22)

43921 - WHAT WE CLAIM IS: · ,. _ ■·.
1. A non-stlnging wound dressing comprising plastic material in a solvent system, said solvent system having an effective amount of 1,1,2,2-tetra-chloro-l,2-difluoroethane .

A non-stinging wound dressing according to Claim 1 comprising plastic material in a solvent-system, said solvent system having at least 50% 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro-1 ,2-difluoroethane and a stinging polar solvent selected from the group, comprising alcohols containing 1-6 carbon atoms, ketones containing 1-4 carbon atoms, and esters of- acid containing 1-6 carbon atoms and alcohols containing 1-6 carbon atoms and mixture of said stinging polar solvents.
3. · A non-stinging wound dressing according to Claim 2 comprising 25 parts of l,l,2,2-tetrachloro-l,2-difluoroethane, 25 parts of ethyl acetate, and 50 parts of 90:10 copolymer of 2-ethoxyethyl methacrylate -.methyl methacrylate. ;
4. A non-stinging wound dressing according to Claim 3 further containing a medicinally active ingredient.
5. . A non-stinging wound dressing according to Claim 2 comprising 25 parts of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro- 1, 2-difluoroethane , 25 parts of acetone, and 50 parts of 50:50 copolymer of n-butyl : isobutyl methacrylate.
6. A non-stinging wound spray according to Claim 5 further containing a medicinally active . ingredient.
7. A non-stinging wound dressing. according to Claim 2 comprising 25 parts of 1,1,2 , 2-tetrachloro-1,2-difluoroethane, 20 parts of ethyl acetate, 5 parts of ethanol, and 30 parts of 80:20 copolymer of 80:20 n-butyl:methyl methacrylate .
8. .8. A non-stinging wound spray aocording . to Claim 7 further containing a medicinally active ingredient.
9. A non-stinging aerosol spray wound dressing comprising propellant gases and plastic material in a solvent system, said solvent system having an effective amount of l,l,2,2'--tetrachloro-l,2-di- luoroethane .

A non-stinging aerosol spray wound dressing according to Claim comprising propellant gases and plastics in a solvent system, said solvent system having at least 50% 1,1,2 ,2-tetrachloro~l,2-dlfluoroethane and a stinging polar solvent selected from the group comprising alcohols containing 1-6 carbon atoms, ketones containing carbon atoms, and esters of acid containing carbon atoms and alcohols containing 1-6 carbon atoms and mixtures of said stinging polar solvents.
11. A non-stinging aerosol spray wound dressing according to Claim 10 comprising: 0.01$ amyl acetate O.W ethyl acetate 3.2*1$ 2-ethoxyethyl methacrylate 0.01!¾ methyl methacrylate 7.22% l,l,2,2-tetrachloro-l,2-difluoro- ethane 26.00?! 1,1,2-trichloro-l, 2, 2-trifluoroethane
12. . A non-stinging aerosol spray wound dressing according to. Claim 11 comprising 0 . 003?! 2 , , 4 * -trichloro-2 ' -hydroxydiphenyl ether.
13. . A method for dressing wounds of non-human animals which comprises applying to said wounds a film of the non-stinging wound dressing described in Claim 1 .
14. A method for dressing wounds of non-human animals which comprises applying to said wounds a film of the non-stinging wound dressing described in Claim 2 .
15. . . A method for dressing wounds of non-human animals which comprises applying to said wounds a film of the non-stinging wound dressing. described in Claim 3 ·
