Abstract

L'invenzione si riferisce ai timoni per imbarcazioni. Per eliminare il contributo permanente alla resistenza idrodinamica passiva dello scafo prodotto dai timoni durante i lunghi periodi di non operatività su rotte rettilinee, l'invenzione prevede un timone comprendente due pale (3) con opposto profilo alare (103) che sono disposte nella zona di poppa (4) dello scafo, distanziate tra loro trasversalmente allo stesso e simmetricamente rispetto alla mezzeria dell'imbarcazione e che sono spostabili nei due sensi in direzione verticale, alternativamente da una contemporanea posizione sollevata inattiva in una posizione attiva d'immersione, in cui la pala (3) rispettivamente immersa determina la virata o la deviazione di rotta dell'imbarcazione nella corrispondente direzione, e vice versa.
