Abstract
Una centrale elettrica geotermica esistente che utilizza vapore geotermico da un pozzo di produzione in un campo geotermico per comandare una turbina a vapore a molti stadi, quando la pressione di vapore disponibile dal pozzo di produzione per la massa calcolata per il vapore attraverso la turbina è inferiore alla pressione di progettazione della turbina, viene retroadattata aumentando il flusso di massa di vapore proveniente dal pozzo di produzione di una quantità incrementale. Sostanzialmente tutta la quantità incrementale di vapore viene deviata ad un impianto generatore a ciclo ranchine a fluido organico per convertire il calore nel vapore deviato in energia e produrre un fluido di scarico sotto forma di condensa di vapore e gas non condensabili. Il fluido di scarico viene iniettato in un pozzo di reiniezione nel campo geotermico. Preferibilmente la parte non deviata di vapore viene applicato alla turbina a vapore e ad uno stadio intermedio della turbina ove la pressione di progettazione dello stadio si accoppia alla pressione di vapore del vapore applicato.
