Abstract

In un materiale di copertura per il volante di guida di un veicolo ed un procedimento per la fabbricazione del materiale di copertura, un corpo a striscia anulare del materiale di copertura ha una lunghezza periferica in un piano giacente perpendicolare ad un asse del volante, che è sostanzialmente identica a quella di una sezione periferica esterna del volante. Una coppia di mantelli laterali si estende radialmente verso l'interno, rispettivamente da entrambi i bordi laterali del corpo a striscia anulare. Il corpo a striscia anulare e la coppia di mantelli laterali cooperano reciprocamente a definire uno spazio anulare entro il quale può essere inserito il volante. Il corpo a striscia anulare e la coppia di mantelli laterali hanno le rispettive lunghezze in un piano includente l'asse del volante, il cui totale è sostanzialmente identico ad una lunghezza periferica esterna del volante nel piano includente l'asse del volante. Ciascuno della coppia di mantelli laterali viene sottoposto ad arricciatura lungo un suo bordo radialmente interno, a formare plissettature lungo il bordo radialmente interno del mantello.
