Abstract
Nella camera di scarica (21) di un dispositivo per la generazione di plasma, utilizzato in ambito spaziale per la propulsione ionica o per lo scaricamento di satelliti, in impieghi a terra, sono sistemate opportune sorgenti (47) di radiazioni ionizzanti capaci di migliorare le prestazioni del dispositivo stesso. La radiazione emessa dalle sorgenti crea una costante ionizzazione del gas con vantaggi sia in fase di pre-ionizzazione cioè di starting del dispositivo, sia in fase di funzionamento, normalizzandone le prestazioni soprattutto in termini di costanza e regolarità di funzionamento. (Fig. 4)
