Abstract
L'invenzione è un procedimento per la purificazione di acque di scarico contenenti inquinanti organici e che determinano colore. I procedimenti a tre unità comprendono un trattamento biofisico aerobico o anaerobico di prima fase, un trattamento con ossidante di seconda, fase ed un trattamento di contatto con assorbente di terza fase. Il trattamento biofisico rimuove la maggioranza degli inquinanti, mentre il trattamento con ossidante distrugge gli inquinanti organici e che determinano colore residui. Il trattamento di contatto con assorbente distrugge qualsiasi ossidante residuo nelle acque di scarico e/o assorbe qualsiasi prodotto di ossidazione residuo. L'assorbente preferito è carbone attivo in polvere e l'ossidante preferito è una qualche forma di cloro: per esempio ipoclorito di sodio. Il procedimento può essere fatto funzionare o con modalità di flusso continuo o con modalità di flusso discontinuo.
