Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymerization initiator requiring a short time for hardening, and capable of providing good adhesive properties to the obtained hardened product by including an organic boron compound, an organic peroxide and a reducing agent. SOLUTION: This polymerization initiator comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. organic boron compound, preferably the one selected from a trialkylboron, an alkoxyalkylboron, a dialkylborane, and a partially oxidized trialkylboron (e.g. tributylboron or a partially oxidized tributylboron), (B) 0.1-50 pts.wt. organic peroxide, e.g. benzoyl peroxide, (C) 0.1-30 pts.wt. reducing agent, preferably an amine compound (e.g. N,N-dimethylaniline). The components B and C are preferably used in a weight ratio of (50:1)-(1:1) in the polymerization initiator. The polymerization initiator is useful as the one in a dental material using an acrylic monomer.

2. Description of the Related Art As a dental material such as an adhesive resin for dental use, an acrylic monomer is used as a polymerizable component, and in order to polymerize and cure such a polymerizable component,
A polymerization initiator is blended. As the polymerization initiator of the acrylic monomer, various compounds are used depending on the type of the polymerization curing reaction, such as thermal polymerization and photopolymerization. As such a polymerization initiator, a photopolymerization initiator such as α-diketone is used. And thermal polymerization (room temperature polymerization) initiators such as benzoyl peroxide (BPO) / amines and organic boron compounds. For example, an organic boron compound such as a trialkyl boron is used as a polymerization initiator. In addition, when such an organic boron compound comes into contact with air, it may react with oxygen rapidly and ignite. Therefore, partially oxidized trialkylboron, which is obtained by partially oxidizing the organic boron compound in advance, is also used. For example, in Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-37092, oxygen is added to trialkylboron as a polymerization initiator in an amount of from 0.3 to 0.9.
Molar reaction product (partially oxidized trialkylboron)
A dental adhesive using is disclosed.

In the polymerization initiator of the present invention, the relative amounts of the respective components are as follows. When the amount of the organic boron compound (A) forming the polymerization initiator of the present invention is 100 parts by weight, the amount of the organic peroxide (B) used is 0.1 to 5 parts.
It is preferably 0 parts by weight, and more preferably used in an amount within the range of 1 to 40 parts by weight. Similarly, the reducing agent (C) is preferably used in an amount of 0.1 to 30 parts by weight, and more preferably in an amount of 0.5 to 25 parts by weight.

And, in the polymerization initiator of the present invention, the organic peroxide (B) and the reducing agent (C) are 50: 1 to 1:
It is preferred to use a weight ratio of 1: 1.
It is particularly preferred to use a weight ratio of 0: 5. Further, in the polymerization initiator of the present invention, by using a small amount of the reducing agent (C), particularly the amine compound in the above range,
It shows a unique action and effect that the curing time is short and the adhesion to the tooth is good. That is, even if the curing time is shortened in such a manner, the adhesive strength provided by the cured dental material hardly changes from when the organoboron compound (A) is used alone. That is, by using the polymerization initiator of the present invention, it is possible to form a cured body having an adhesive strength to tooth material equivalent to or higher than that of using the organic boron compound (A) in a short time.

The polymerizable monomer (D) constituting the dental material of the present invention usually contains an acrylic monomer as a main component. May be contained, or a polyfunctional monomer or a monomer having an acidic group in the molecule may be contained. In the adhesive composition of the present invention,
As the polymerizable monomer (D), a known monofunctional monomer or polyfunctional monomer can be used without any limitation.
(Meth) acrylate-based monomers are preferably used because they have relatively low irritation to the human body. Further, the polymerizable monomer (D) having an acidic group in the molecule is particularly preferable as a component that gives a high adhesive force to tooth material. Therefore, a combination of (meth) acrylate and a polymerizable monomer having an acidic group is also preferably used.

These can be provided in the form of a dental material set having the following components: 1) a) first container: a mixture of an organic peroxide (B) or a reducing agent (C) and a filler; b) second container: a reducing agent (C) or an organic peroxide (B) and a polymerizable monomer ( C) Third container Organoboron compound (A) 2) a) First container Mixture of reducing agent (C) or organic peroxide (B) and polymerizable monomer (D) b) Second container Container Organoboron compound (A) c) Aphlicator Contains organic peroxide (B) or reducing agent (C) In the dental material of the present invention, the polymerizable monomer (D) 10
The polymerization initiator is used in a total amount of 1 to 20 parts by weight, preferably 2 to 15 parts by weight, based on 0 parts by weight. Therefore, in the dental material of the present invention, usually, the organic boron compound is added to 100 parts by weight of the polymerizable monomer.
The content of (A) is preferably in the range of 1 to 20 parts by weight, more preferably 2 to 15 parts by weight, the organic peroxide (B)
Is in the range of preferably 0.001 to 10 parts by weight, more preferably 0.002 to 10 parts by weight, and the content of the reducing agent (C) is 0.001 to 6 parts by weight, preferably 0 to 10 parts by weight. 0.00002 to 4.5 parts by weight. Thus, in the dental material of the present invention, the above-mentioned 3 is used as a polymerization initiator.
Uses a component-based polymerization initiator and uses an organic peroxide
By blending a small amount of the amine compound (B) and the amine compound used as the reducing agent (C), the dental composition can be cured in a short time, and the cured product can be adhered to the tooth substance. The strength is equivalent to or higher than that when TBB is used alone.

By using a small amount of the agent (C), preferably an amine compound, the adhesive strength becomes higher than that of a conventional cured resin cured using an organic boron compound (A) such as TBB, and the time required for the curing is shorter. This has the effect.

The polymerization initiator used here was TBB10
33 parts by weight of BPO and 6.7 parts by weight of DEPT are added to 0 parts by weight. 0.2 g of the mixture obtained as described above was subjected to an inner diameter of 5 at 25 ° C.
The sample was placed in a plastic tube of mmφ, a sensor for temperature measurement was placed in the center of the tube, and the temperature change was measured. The time from the start of mixing until reaching the maximum temperature was defined as the exothermic peak time at 25 ° C. (curing time). Similarly, the peak heat generation time during curing in a 37 ° C. atmosphere was determined.

Further, the amount of the residual monomer contained in the cured product after the reaction curing at 25 ° C. and 37 ° C. was determined by the following method. Method for measuring residual monomer: The cured product was dissolved in acetone, and the polymer was reprecipitated with methanol five times the amount of acetone. The supernatant of the obtained solution was subjected to high performance liquid chromatography, the MMA concentration in the solution was quantified, and the MMA in the cured product was determined.
The amount of MA was calculated.

Using the composition containing MA, MMA and the polymerization initiator, the adhesive strength to bovine dentin was measured as follows. First, bovine dentin whose surface was polished with No. 600 emery paper was pretreated with 10% phosphoric acid / 3% cupric chloride for 30 seconds, washed with water for 30 seconds, and dried. % HEMA / 5% glutaraldehyde aqueous solution (GLUMA) was applied. After treating in this way, the above composition is applied on the application surface of the primer,
Using the composition, a stainless rod surface-treated with a phosphate ester monomer (MDP) and dentin were adhered.
