2. Description of the Related Art A display discharge tube for selecting a pixel by an address operation using a plasma discharge, a so-called plasma display panel (hereinafter referred to as a PDP) has a direct current (DC) type.
Type) and AC type (AC type). In particular, AC type PD
P has a memory function using a wall charge, and a front glass substrate, which is a first substrate made of a glass substrate or the like, and a second glass substrate.
A display electrode, a first address electrode, and a second address electrode, which are covered with a dielectric layer crossing each other on an opposing inner surface of a rear glass substrate made of a glass substrate or the like,
An initial discharge, that is, an address discharge, is performed between the first address electrode and the second address electrode to charge the surface of the dielectric layer, and then the display electrode and the first address are selectively used by using the charging. The display is performed by causing a discharge between the electrodes.

Are formed at substantially uniform intervals, and red, green, and blue phosphors are regularly formed on the second address electrodes 7 and on the side surfaces of the stripe-shaped barrier ribs 3, respectively. However, if the red, green, and blue phosphors for PDP, which emit light by ultraviolet rays, emit light under a certain condition in a certain area of each discharge space (unit discharge space: hereinafter also referred to as a discharge cell), for example, a white color is obtained. The temperature was around 6000K.

In recent years, the white color is 900, depending on the application.
A color temperature of 0K to 10000K is preferred. In order to cope with this, conventionally, a color filter is provided, or a means such as a correction by a driving circuit so as to suppress the luminance of green and red from the luminance of blue is provided. However, when a color filter is used, the cost increases due to the increase in the number of constituent materials, and a decrease in characteristics other than the color temperature is unavoidable. There is a problem that the brightness and gradation of the display screen must be sacrificed.

Basically, there is no particular limitation as long as there is vacuum strength and there is no problem in handling. In addition, when high strain point glass is used as the material of the glass substrate, it is more suitable than soda glass because it is not affected by changes in the operating environment.

Further, here, an example is described in which transparent electrodes are used for the electrodes 5M1 and 5M2 constituting the display electrode pair 5 and the first address electrode 6, but the electrodes 5M1 and 5M2 of the display electrode pair 5 are used. Each of the first address electrode 6 and the first address electrode 6 does not necessarily need to use a transparent electrode. In particular, in the case where the electrodes 5M1 and 5M2 of the display electrode pair 5 are not used as the transparent electrodes, and are formed as an electrode pattern including only the mother electrode, for example, if the electrode width is formed to 0.2 to 0.4 mm,
Although the electrode spacing is increased and the discharge sustaining voltage is increased, the luminous efficiency can be increased.
