- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 保護及び装飾シート材料の製造方法であって、 押出機のダイ開口部を連続的に通過するキャリヤシートの平滑表面上に、押 出ダイから固体ポリマー材料を押出コーティングして、前記キャリヤシート上 に均一な厚みの、耐候性の熱可塑性でかつ熱成形可能な光学的にクリヤなコー トを有する第一層を形成し; 走行するキャリヤ上のクリヤコートを直ちに冷却して、クリヤコートを硬化 し; 前記第一層に、フィルム形態の、熱可塑性でかつ熱成形可能なポリマー材料 からなる着色第二層を適用し、該第二層を硬化して、第一層及び第二層が、前 記キャリヤシートに支持されながら、相互に結合した複合塗装コートを形成し ;そして、 前記キャリヤシートを前記複合塗装コートから分離して、保護第一層の外側 表面を、前記着色第二層に対する透明な保護外側コートとして露出させ、前記 保護第一層の外側表面が、前記キャリヤシートとの先の接触によりそれに転写 された、外装自動車品質の高光沢及び高画像明瞭性を有することを特徴とする 方法。 2. 第二層が、第一層に溶媒キャストされる請求項1記載の方法。 3. 第一層及び第二層が、共押出される請求項1記載の方法。 4. 第二層が、固体ポリマーとして押出コートされ、次いで冷却されて硬化する 請求項1記載の方法。 5. 熱成形性支持シートをシート材料の着色コート側に適用し、該シートを3次 元の形状に熱成形する際に、該高光沢及び画像の明瞭性を保持し得る熱成形性 ラミネートを形成する請求項1記載の方法。 6. 押出コートされた第一層の固体ポリマー材料が、PVDFとアクリル樹脂のブレ ンドである請求項1記載の方法。 7. 第一層を、50フィート/分より大きい線速度でキャリヤシート上に押出コー トする請求項1記載の方法。 8. 押出クリヤコートの外側表面が、60を越える画像の明瞭性を有する請求項1 記載の方法。 9. クリヤな第一層と着色第二層がPVDFコポリマーとアクリル樹脂のブレンドを 含む請求項1記載の方法。 10.熱成形性支持バックシートと下塗りコートを共押出物として共押出し、次い でシート材料の着色コート側を共押出物の下塗りコートに結合する工程を含む 請求項1記載の方法。 11.クリヤコートを350°Fより高温で押し出し、次いでクリヤコートを露出し て、約80°Fより低温の冷却ロールと接触させて、約3〜4秒より短い時間内 でクリヤコートを硬化する請求項10記載の方法。 12.クリヤコートが、少なくとも65℃のTgを有するアクリル材料とポリビニリデ ンジフルオリドのブレンドを含む請求項1記載の方法。 13.ポリビニリデンジフルオリド/アクリルの重量比が、クリヤコート中に存在 するこれらの材料の全固形分に対して約50/50〜約70/30である請求項12記載 の方法。 14.第一層が、押出材料中で発生した熱が、押出材料中に含まれるポリマーのゲ ル形成温度より低温に制御された押出機から押出コートされる請求項1記載の 方法。 15.押出材料を、約100ft/分より大きな線速度を与える、約50rpmより低い押出 機回転速度にかける請求項14記載の方法。 16.押出材料を約1,000psiてより低い押出圧にかける請求項15記載の方法。 17.押出工程の出発材料がペレット状であり、該ペレットが、該ペレットを形成 する各成分のゲル形成温度より低温で該出発材料成分を押し出すことにより作 られたものである請求項16記載の方法。 18.押出工程の出発原料がペレット状であり、該ペレットが、該ペレットを形成 する各成分のゲル形成温度より低温で該出発材料成分を押し出すことにより作 られたものである請求項14記載の方法。 19.押出工程の出発材料がフルオロポリマーとアクリルポリマーのブレンドを含 み、押し出し材料が、フルオロポリマーのゲル形成温度より低温に保持される 請求項14記載の方法。 20.押出温度が約450°Fより低い請求項19記載の方法。 21.押出材料が約50rpmより低い回転速度の押出機にかけられる請求項20記載の 方法。 22.押出材料が、測定のC−チャーティング標準に対して約5未満の欠陥を有す る熱成形性フィルムを含む請求項14記載の方法。 23.押出工程の出発材料がペレット状であり、該ペレットが、アクリル成分をペ レット状に押し出し、次いでフルオロポリマー成分をペレット形態から押出ク リヤコートフィルム材料に押し出すことにより製造される請求項19記載の方法 。 24.出発材料が、乾燥パウダー状の出発材料ポリマーを圧縮して発生した熱を、 同じ出発材料の押出により発生する熱より少なくすることにより製造されたブ リケット状のものである請求項14記載の方法。 25.保護及び装飾シート材料の製造方法であって、 押出機のダイ開口部を連続的に通過するキャリヤシートの平滑表面上に、押 出ダイから固体ポリマー材料を押出コーティングして、前記キャリヤシート上 に均一な厚みの、耐候性の熱可塑性でかつ熱成形可能な光学的にクリヤなコー トを有する第一層を形成し; 押出コートした該一層を冷却してキャリヤシート上の第一層を硬化し; 前記硬化した第一層に、フィルム形態の、熱可塑性でかつ熱成形可能なポリ マー材料からなる着色第二層を適用し、第一層及び第二層が、前記剥離コート したキャリヤシートに支持されながら、相互に結合した複合塗装コートを形成 し; 該複合塗装コートの第二層側に、熱成形性ポリマー支持シートをラミネート し;そして、 前記キャリヤシートを前記複合塗装コートから分離して、第一層の外側表面 を、前記着色第二層に対する透明な保護外側コートとして露出させ、前記保護 第一層の外側表面が、前記キャリヤシートとの先の接触によりそれに転写され た、外装自動車品質の高光沢及び高画像明瞭性を有することを特徴とする方法 。 26.第二層が、第一層に溶媒キャストされる請求項25記載の方法。 27.第二層を、固体ポリマーとして押出コートし、次いで冷却して第二層を硬化 する請求項25記載の方法。 28.支持シートをラミネートのカラーコート側に適用してから、キャリヤをラミ ネートから分離する請求項25記載の方法。 29.押出コートされた第一層の固体ポリマー材料が、PVDFとアクリル樹脂のブレ ンドである請求項25記載の方法。 30.第一層を、50フィート/分より大きい線速度でキャリヤシート上に押出コー トする請求項25記載の方法。 31.押出クリヤコートの外側表面が、60を越える画像明瞭性を有する請求項25記 載の方法。 32.クリヤな第一層と着色第二層がPVDFコポリマーとアクリル樹脂のブレンドを 含む請求項25記載の方法。 33.支持シートを下塗りコートと共に共押出し、次いで共押出物の下塗りコート 側を塗装コートの着色第二層側に適用する工程を含む請求項25記載の方法。 34.第一層を、押出材料中で発生した熱が、押出材料中に含まれるポリマーのゲ ル形成温度より低温に制御された押出機から押出コートされる請求項25記載の 方法。 35.押出材料を、約100ft/分より大きな線速度を与える、約50rpmより低い回転 速度の押出機にかける請求項34記載の方法。 36.押出材料を約1,000psiより低い押出圧にかける請求項35記載の方法。 37.押出工程の出発材料がペレット状であり、該ペレットが、該ペレットを形成 する各成分のゲル形成温度より低温で該出発材料成分を押し出すことにより作 られたものである請求項36記載の方法。 38.押出工程の出発材料がペレット状であり、該ペレットが、該ペレットを形成 する各成分のゲル形成温度より低温で該出発材料成分を押し出すことにより作 られたものである請求項34記載の方法。 39.押出工程の出発材料がフルオロポリマーとアクリルポリマーのブレンドを含 み、押し出し材料が、フルオロポリマーのゲル形成温度より低温に保持される 請求項34記載の方法。 40.押出温度が約450°Fより低い請求項39記載の方法。 41.押出材料が約50rpmより低い回転速度の押出機にかけられる請求項40記載の 方法。 42.押出材料が、測定のC−チャーティング標準に対して約5未満の欠陥を有す る熱成形性フィルムを含む請求項34記載の方法。 43.押出工程の出発材料がペレット状であり、該ペレットが、アクリル成分をペ レット状に押し出し、次いでフルオロポリマー成分をペレット形態から押出ク リヤコートフィルム材料に押し出す請求項39記載の方法。 44.耐候性外装自動車塗装フィルムとして有用な光学的透明性を有する押出クリ ヤコートフィルムの製造方法であって、 耐候性ポリマーのブレンドから調製された押出可能な耐候性ポリマー材料を 含む出発材料を調製し、この出発材料を押出機で押し出して押出機ダイ出口開 口部で押出クリヤコートフィルムを形成し、押し出された出発材料を、ブレン ドした出発材料中に含まれる耐候性ポリマーのゲル形成温度より低温に保持し 、該温度を出発材料の調製の際、及びクリヤコートフィルムへの押出の際に保 持して、押出フィルム中の光学的欠陥を最小限にして、外装自動車塗装フィル ムの要求を十分に満たすものとすることを特徴とする方法。 45.クリヤコートフィルムを、押出機から約100フィート/分を越える線速度で 押し出す請求項44記載の方法。 46.押出材料を、約50rpmより低い回転速度で押出機にかける請求項44記載の方 法。 47.押出材料を、約1,000psiより低い押出圧にかける請求項44記載の方法。 48.押出工程の出発材料がフルオロポリマーとアクリルポリマーのブレンドを含 み、押出材料をフルオロポリマーのゲル形成温度より低温に保持する請求項44 記載の方法。 49.押出材料を、約450°Fより低温に保持する請求項48記載の方法。 50.押出フィルムが、測定のC−チャーティング標準に対して約5未満の欠陥を 有する熱成形性、耐候性フィルムを含む請求項44記載の方法。 51.高光学的透明性を有する押出フィルムの製造方法であって、 耐候性ポリマーのブレンドから押出可能なポリマー材料を調製して出発材料 を形成し、この出発材料を押出機ダイ出口開口から押し出して、測定のC−チ ャーティング標準に対して約5未満の欠陥を有する光学的に透明な、熱成形性 、耐候性フィルムを形成し、該出発材料が、該出発材料中に含まれるポリマー 材料のゲル形成温度より低い操作温度で押し出されることを特徴とする方法。 52.押し出されたクリヤフィルムを、外装自動車塗料の層に適用して外装自動車 装飾フィルムシートを形成する工程を含む請求項51記載の方法。 53.押し出されたクリヤフィルムを、窓ガラスの層に適用することを特徴とする 請求項51記載の方法。
