Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 行(R)および列の行列において配置された複数の表示素子(C)と、互 いに整列すると共に、行または列方向に延在する第1および第2電極(Sc, Su)とを有し、前記第1および第2電極が同じ表示素子(C)に関連する対 を形成する、フラットパネルディスプレイと、 前記第1および第2電極(Sc,Su)に結合され、駆動信号を前記対に供 給する駆動回路(2,6)とを具えるフラットパネルディスプレイ装置におい て、前記駆動回路(2,6)が、2つの異なったグループの対において流れる 電流が逆方向に流れるように、逆の駆動信号(V1,V2)を対の異なったグ ループに供給するサブ駆動回路(2o,2e,6o,6e)を具えることを特 徴とするフラットパネルディスプレイ装置。 2.請求の範囲1に記載のフラットパネルディスプレイ装置において、前記サブ 駆動回路の第1のもの(2o)を第1電極の第1グループ(Sco)に結合し 、前記サブ駆動回路の第2のもの(2e)を第1電極の第2グループ(Sce )に結合し、前記サブ駆動回路の第3のもの(6o)を第2電極の第1グルー プ(Suo)に結合し、前記サブ駆動回路の第4のもの(6e)を第2電極の 第2グループ(Sue)に結合し、前記第2電極の第1グループ(Suo)を 前記第1電極の第1グループの対応する第1電極(Sco)と同じ表示素子( C)に関連させ、相互接続された第2電極の第2グループ(Sue)を前記第 1電極の第2グループの対応する第1電極(Sce)と同じ表示素子に関連さ せ、前記第1および第4サブ駆動回路(2o,6e)が実際的に等しい第1駆 動信号V1を供給し、第2および第3サブ駆動回路(2e,6o)が実際的に 等しい第2駆動信号V2を供給し、前記第1駆動信号(V1)および第2駆動 信号(V2)が実際的に逆相において生じるように構成したことを特徴とする フラットパネルディスプレイ装置。 3.請求の範囲2に記載のフラットパネルディスプレイ装置において、前記第3 サブ駆動回路(6o)が、前記第2電極の第1グループ(Suo)を相互接続 する導体を具え、前記第4サブ駆動回路(6e)が、前記第2電極の第2グル ープ(Sue)を相互接続する導体を具えることを特徴とするフラットパネル ディスプレイ装置。 4.請求の範囲1に記載のフラットパネルディスプレイ装置において、前記2つ の異なったグループの対が交互であることを特徴とするフラットパネルディス プレイ装置。 5.フラットパネルディスプレイ装置を駆動する方法であって、前記フラットパ ネルディスプレイ装置が、行(R)および列の行列において配置された複数の 表示素子(C)と、互いに整列すると共に、行または列方向に延在する第1お よび第2電極(Sc,Su)とを有し、前記第1および第2電極が同じ表示素 子(C)に関連する対を形成し、該フラットパネルディスプレイ装置駆動方法 が、前記第1および第2電極(Sc,Su)を、駆動信号を前記対に供給する ことによって駆動するステップ(2,6)を具えるフラットパネルディスプレ イ装置駆動方法において、前記駆動ステップ(2,6)が、2つの異なったグ ループの対において流れる電流が逆方向に流れるように、逆の駆動信号を前記 対の異なったグループに供給するステップ(2o,2e,6o,6e)を具え ることを特徴とするフラットパネルディスプレイ装置駆動方法。
