- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.25〜99重量パーセントの水、 0.003〜60重量パーセントのASA、 0.003〜50重量パーセントのカチオンポリマー混合物、ここで、該 混合物は75〜99重量パーセントの低分子量ヨネンポリマーおよび1〜25重 量パーセントの高分子量ポリエチレンイミンポリマーを含む、ならびに 0ないし2重量パーセントの界面活性剤 を含むASAサイジングエマルション。 2.該低分子量ヨネンポリマーが15,000未満の重量平均分子量を有し、 また該高分子量ポリエチレンイミンポリマーが500,000を上回る重量平均 分子量を有する請求項1記載のASAサイジングエマルション。 3.該低分子量ヨネンポリマーが式Iの反復単位を含む請求項2記載のASA サイジングエマルション。 (式中: R1、R2、R3、およびR4は同一かまたは異なり、H、少なくとも1つのヒド ロキシル基で場合により置換されたC1−C20アルキル、およびベンゼン部分に おいて少なくとも1つのC1−C20アルキル基で場合により置換されたベンジル から選ばれ; AはC1−C10アルキレン、C2−C10アルケニレン、C2−C10アルキニレン 、C1−C10ヒドロキシアルキレン、対称または非対称ジ−C1−C10−アルキレ ンエーテル、アリーレン、アリーレン−C1−C10−アルキレン、またはC1−C10 −アルキレンアリール−C1−C10アルキレンから選ばれる 二価の基であり; BはC1−C10アルキレン、C2−C10アルケニレン、C2−C10アルキニレン 、C1−C10ヒドロキシアルキレン、アリーレン、アリーレン−C1−C10−アル キレン、またはC1−C10−アルキレンアリール−C1−C10−アルキレンから選 ばれる二価の基であり; X2-は該ヨネンポリマーの主鎖を形成する該反復単位中の該カチオン電荷を相 殺するのに十分な1個の二価対イオン、2個の一価対イオン、または分数個の多 価対イオンである。) 4.該低分子量ヨネンポリマーが式IIの反復単位を含む請求項2記載のASA サイジングエマルション。 (式中: R1およびR2は同一かまたは異なり、H、少なくとも1つのヒドロキシル基で 場合により置換されたC1−C20アルキル、およびベンゼン部分において少なく とも1つのC1−C20アルキル基で場合により置換されたベンジルから選ばれ; AはC1−C10アルキレン、C2−C10アルケニレン、C2−C10アルキニレン 、C1−C10ヒドロキシアルキレン、対称もしくは非対称ジ−C1−C10−アルキ レンエーテル、アリーレン、アリーレン−C1−C10−アルキレン、またはC1− C10−アルキレンアリール−C1−C10アルキレンから選ばれる二価の基であり ; X-は該ヨネンポリマーの主鎖を形成する該反復単位中の該カチオン電荷を相 殺するのに十分な1個の一価対イオン、または分数個の多価対イオンである。) 5.該低分子量ヨネンポリマーが式IIIの反復単位を含む請求項2記載のAS A サイジングエマルション。(式中Rは Qは−(CHR’)p−、−CH2−CH=CH−CH2−、−CH2−CH2−O −CH2−CH2−、−CH2−CH(OH)−CH2−、または−(CHR’)n −NH−C(O)−NH(CHR’)n−; B’は{−[CH2−CH(OH)−CH2−N+R’2−(CHR’)n−NH −C(O)−NH]−,X-}または{−[(CHR’)n−N+R’2−CH2− CH(OH)−CH2]−、X-}; nおよびpは独立して2から12に変動し; R’は独立して水素または低級アルキル基であり; X2-は該基R中の該カチオン電荷を相殺するのに十分な1個の二価対イオン、 2個の一価対イオン、または分数個の多価対イオンであり; X-は該基B’中の該カチオン電荷を相殺するのに十分な1個の一価対イオン 、二分の一個の二価対イオンまたは分数個の多価対イオンである。) 6.該低分子量ヨネンポリマーが10,000未満の重量平均分子量を有し、 また該高分子量ポリエチレンイミンポリマーが1,000,000を上回る重量 平均分子量を有する請求項2記載のASAサイジングエマルション。 7.該低分子量ヨネンポリマーがpH7において5meq/gを上回る電荷密 度を有し、また該高分子量ポリエチレンイミンポリマーがpH7において約5m eq/gの電荷密度を有する請求項6記載のASAサイジングエマルション。 8.該低分子量ヨネンポリマーがエピクロロヒドリンとジメチルアミンとの反 応生成物であり、また該高分子量ポリエチレンイミンポリマーがエチレンオキシ ドで架橋されている請求項1記載のASAサイジングエマルション。 9.該界面活性剤がアニオン界面活性剤である請求項1記載のASAサイジン グエマルション。 10.該ASAが0.5から3ミクロンまでにわたる粒径を有する請求項2記 載のASAサイジングエマルション。 11.該ASAが0.5から3ミクロンまでにわたる粒径を有する請求項1記 載のASAサイジングエマルション。 12.パルプスラリーを請求項2記載のASAサイジングエマルションと接触 させ、かつ該パルプを紙シートに形成させる工程を含む紙にサイズを施す方法。 13.パルプスラリーを請求項1記載のASAサイジンギエマルションと接触 させ、かつ該パルプを紙シートに形成させる工程を含む紙にサイズを施す方法。
