Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.第1セクタ内の少なくとも一つの予め定められた場所に対し、試料中に存 在すると推測される分析物を結合又は反応させるための実質的に完全独立型のア ッセイ手段を有する第1のセクタと、任意には、読取り装置がアクセス可能な試 料中に存在すると推測される単数又は複数の分析物に関するアッセイを実施する ための制御手段及び分析物場所情報を収納している第2のセクタとを含んでなり 、光学読取り装置によって読み取られるように適合された光ディスクであって、 前記場所における前記分析物の有無が、前記制御手段及び前記場所情報を用いて 前記読取り装置により決定可能であることを特徴とする光ディスク。 2.前記光ディスクが、さらに、前記アッセイ手段と流動的に連結した状態に ある密封可能な試料入口ポートを内含する請求項1記載の光ディスク。 3.光ディスク、ディスク読取り装置及び情報プロセッサを有し、アッセイを 実施するための装置において、ディスクが、第1セクタ内の少なくとも一つの予 め定められた場所に対し、試料中に存在すると推測される分析物を結合させるた めの実質的に完全独立型のアッセイ手段を有する第1のセクタと、任意には、読 取り装置がアクセス可能でかつ情報プロセッサが処理可能であるような、試料中 に存在すると推測される単数又は複数の分析物に関するアッセイを実施するため の制御情報及び分析物場所情報を収納している第2のセクタとを含んでなり、前 記ディスクが読取り装置により読み取られるように適合され、前記情報プロセッ サが前記制御情報及び前記場所情報を用いて前記場所における前記分析物の有無 を決定するように適合されていることを特徴とする装置。 4.前記読取り装置がCD−ROM又はDVD読取り装置であり、さらに、前 記読取り装置は、情報プロセッサに連結されるように適合されている請求項3記 載の装置。 5.前記情報プロセッサがパーソナルコンピュータである請求項4記載の装置 。 6.前記アッセイ手段が、ディスク表面に形成された流体移送手段及び流体貯 蔵手段を有する請求項1記載のディスク。 7.前記流体移送手段が、毛管ダクトを含んでなる請求項6記載のディスク。 8.前記流体移送手段が、バルブを含んでなる請求項7記載のディスク。 9.前記ディスクが、電気化学エネルギー手段を含んでなる請求項6記載のデ ィスク。 10.前記アッセイ手段が、試料ポート、試料調整セクタ、分析物分離セクタ、 及び、分析物が局在化させられているアッセイセクタを含んでなる請求項1記載 のディスク。 11.前記流体移送手段が、遠心力又は電界に対する応答性を有する請求項6記 載のディスク。 12.前記ディスクが、多数の分析物について分析するように適合された多数の 第1セクタを含んでなる請求項1記載のディスク。 13.前記ディスクが、さらに、同一分析物又は異なる分析物について分析する ように適合された多数の第1のセクタを含んでなり、前記多数の第1のセクタの 各々は、試料ポートへの流動的連結のために適合されている請求項1記載のディ スク。 14.基板、該基板に結合された第1のオリゴヌクレオチド、及び、該第1のオ リゴヌクレオチドに相補的な第2のオリゴヌクレオチドによって前記第1のオリ ゴヌクレオチドに対し第1の端部で結合 されたスペーサ分子を含んでなるアッセイ要素において、前記スペーサ分子が、 検出手段により検出可能な第2の端部を持ち試料中の分析物に結合するための結 合手段をさらに含んでなり、前記スペーサ分子は、前記第1の端部と前記第2の 端部との中間に、分割可能な部位をさらに含んでなり、前記結合手段が、前記分 析物の第1の部分に結合するために前記スペーサ分子の第1の端部と前記分割可 能な部位との間に第1の部分を有し、かつ、前記分析物の第2の部分に結合する ために前記スペーサ分子の第2の端部と前記分割可能な部位との間に第2の部分 を有していることを特徴とするアッセイ要素。 15.光ディスクと、ディスク上の少なくとも一つの予め定められた場所に対し 、試料中に存在すると推測される分析物を結合させるための前記ディスク内の実 質的に完全独立型のアッセイ手段と、CD−ROM又はDVD読取り装置による 前記分析物の有無の検出を可能にするために前記場所にある手段とを含んでなり 、前記CD−ROM又はDVD読取り装置によって読み取られるように適合され ていることを特徴とするアッセイコンポーネント。 16.光ディスク上の少なくとも一つの予め定められた場所に対し、試料中に存 在すると推測される分析物を局在化させるための実質的に完全独立型のアッセイ 手段と、CD−ROM又はDVD読取り装置により前記分析物の有無を検出する ために前記場所にある手段とを含んでなり、前記CD−ROM又はDVD読取り 装置により読み取られるように適合されていることを特徴とする光ディスク。
