Abstract
【解決手段】ヨウ化メチル等の揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物を含有する空気を、酸化金属触媒3が充填された反応管1内に導入し、80〜250℃の温度条件下で酸化金属触媒3と接触させることにより、空気中の揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物を酸化分解する。そして、その酸化生成ガスを含む空気を水酸化ナトリウム水溶液等のヨウ素吸収液が充填されたヨウ素回収器4に導入することにより、酸化生成ガスから遊離ヨウ素を分離し、回収する。

Claims (4)
- 揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物及び酸素を含有するガスを、80〜250℃の温度条件下で酸化触媒に接触させて前記ガス中の揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物を酸化した後、その酸化生成ガスから遊離ヨウ素を回収することを特徴とする揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物からのヨウ素の回収方法。
- 前記酸化触媒として、二酸化マンガンを主成分とする酸化金属触媒を使用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物からのヨウ素の回収方法。
- 150〜250℃の温度条件下で、前記揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物及び酸素を含有するガスを前記酸化触媒に接触させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物からのヨウ素の回収方法。
- 前記酸化触媒は、粒状又はハニカム状であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の揮発性有機ヨウ素化合物からのヨウ素の回収方法。
