Abstract
【解決手段】隔壁7によって電装の内部に形成された複数のセルに、正極板30と負極板40とからなる電極群を収納する鉛蓄電池1において、極板群の上方かつ蓋部材3の下方に中蓋8を配設し、正極板30の上部に形成される正極板延出部31と、隣接するセルに収納された負極板40の上部に形成される負極板延出部41とを、中蓋8に形成された貫通孔を通して上方に突出させると共に、隔壁7の上方に形成された延長部9の上部に重ね合わせるように屈曲させ、抵抗溶接によって直接接合する。これにより、極板同士を接合する大型の鋳造ストラップを廃することができ、鉛蓄電池1の重量低減を図ると共に、鋳造バリの点検・除去作業が不要となる。電解液は、中蓋8の下方において保持されている。

Claims (3)
- 複数のセルからなる電槽内に極板を収納する鉛蓄電池において、
前記電槽の蓋部材の下方に、貫通孔が形成された中蓋を具備し、
前記セル内の少なくとも1つの極板の上部に、前記貫通孔を通って上方に突出する延出部が形成され、該延出部において、前記極板と極性の異なる他のセル中の極板の延出部とが互いに直接接合されていることを特徴とする鉛蓄電池。 - 前記延出部は、その上部が屈曲され、前記セルを形成する隔壁の上部で接合されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鉛蓄電池。
- 前記延出部と前記貫通孔との間には、ガス抜き用の隙間が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の鉛蓄電池。
