Abstract
【解決手段】本発明に係る電子放出素子は先端を有する導電基材と、第一端部及び第二端部を有するカーボンナノチューブと、金属膜と、を含む。前記カーボンナノチューブの第一端部は前記導電基材の前記先端に接続され、前記カーボンナノチューブの第二端部は前記導電基材の前記先端から延伸する。前記金属膜はカーボンナノチューブの表面及び、前記カーボンナノチューブに隣接する前記導電基材の前記先端の一部に形成される。

Claims (6)
- 先端を有する導電基材と、第一端部及び第二端部を有するカーボンナノチューブと、金属膜と、を含み、
前記カーボンナノチューブの前記第一端部は前記導電基材の前記先端に接続され、前記カーボンナノチューブの前記第二端部は前記導電基材の前記先端から延伸し、
前記金属膜はカーボンナノチューブの表面、及び前記カーボンナノチューブに隣接する前記導電基材の前記先端の一部に形成されることを特徴とする電子放出素子。 - 前記カーボンナノチューブの前記第二端部は前記金属膜で被覆されず、露出することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電子放出素子。
- 前記導電基材の前記先端は円錐形又は円柱形に設けられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電子放出素子。
- 前記金属膜の厚さは1〜100nmに設定されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電子放出素子。
- それぞれ先端を有する二つの導電基材を準備して、該二つの導電基材の前記先端を所定の距離で相対して設置し、カーボンナノチューブを含む溶液に浸漬させる段階と、
前記二つの導電基材の間に交流電圧を印加して、少なくとも一本のカーボンナノチューブを前記二つの導電基材に連接させる段階と、
前記交流電圧の供給を止め、前記カーボンナノチューブを含む溶液を除去する段階と、
前記二つの導電基材を分離させ、前記カーボンナノチューブを少なくとも前記二つの導電基材の前記一方の先端に接続させる段階と、
前記カーボンナノチューブの表面の一部、及び前記カーボンナノチューブが接続された前記先端の表面に金属膜を形成する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする電子放出素子の製造方法。 - 前記電子放出素子から電子を放出させ、前記カーボンナノチューブの先端を露出させることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の電子放出素子の製造方法。
