Description

The present invention relates to a diene rubber composition. More specifically, the present invention relates to a diene rubber composition suitably used as a vulcanization molding material for a studless tire cap tread portion.

Studless tires intended for running on snowy roads and frozen roads are also required to have low fuel consumption in addition to the original performance on ice.

In order to improve the performance on ice, the cap tread part has many cap part blocks that form a deeper groove than the summer tire, and many fine grooves (sipe) cut into the cap part block are also provided. . For this reason, when the cap compound is subjected to compression strain, it is difficult to return to its original state (high compression set and easy to compression set). Performance will deteriorate. Therefore, the rubber material of the cap tread part of the studless tire prevents not only the excellent on-ice performance and low heat generation, but also the phenomenon that when the cap compound is subjected to compression strain, the strain is difficult to return to its original state (compression It is also necessary to lower the permanent set).

As a method for reducing the compression set, it has been proposed that a large amount of a vulcanization accelerator is blended and vulcanized by an effective vulcanization (EV vulcanization) method. However, this method has a problem that the hardness is increased and the performance on ice, which is the most important performance of the studless tire, is deteriorated.
Revised edition of the basics of rubber technology (edited by the Japan Rubber Association) pages 21-22

The object of the present invention is to improve the performance on ice, compression set resistance (set resistance) and low heat build-up required for studless tires in a well-balanced manner, and to provide a vulcanizate that is effectively used for the cap tread portion and the like. The object is to provide a diene rubber composition.

An object of the present invention is to provide a diene rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber and 4 to 8 parts by weight of zinc monomethacrylate, 2 to 13 parts by weight of diatomaceous earth, and 30 to 80 parts by weight of carbon black. Achieved by:

The vulcanized molded product obtained from the diene rubber composition according to the present invention improves on-ice performance, set resistance and low heat build-up required for studless tires in a well-balanced manner, so that molding materials such as studless tire cap tread parts It is effectively used as

Diene rubbers include natural rubber (NR), isoprene rubber (IR), butadiene rubber (BR), chloroprene rubber (CR), butyl rubber (IIR), nitrile rubber (NBR), styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), etc. Or as a blend rubber, preferably NR, BR, SBR or a blend rubber thereof. As SBR, either emulsion polymerization SBR (E-SBR) or solution polymerization SBR (S-SBR) can be used.

Zinc monomethacrylate is considered to be coordinated with methacrylic acid with respect to zinc, and is distinguished from zinc dimethacrylate represented by [CH (CH 3 ) ═CHCOO] 2 Zn. Actually, Sartomer's product SR709 etc. marketed as zinc monomethacrylate can be used as it is. Further, as an example of synthesis of zinc monomethacrylate, it was obtained by reacting methacrylic acid and zinc oxide with an excess of base, for example, 60 wt% zinc monomethacrylate and 30 wt% zinc dimethacrylate, 10 wt% % Of mixed zinc oxide.
Japanese National Patent Publication No. 11-512776

The zinc monomethacrylate is used in a ratio of 4 to 8 parts by weight, preferably 5 to 7 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the diene rubber. When the blending ratio of zinc monomethacrylate is less than this, the calorific value increases and the set resistance deteriorates. On the other hand, when used at a ratio higher than this, the performance on ice is deteriorated, which is preferable. Absent. Here, zinc monomethacrylate can be used alone as a zinc compound without being used in combination with zinc oxide, and can be used in combination with zinc oxide or the like if the total amount of the zinc compound is within 8 parts by weight. .

In the inventions of Patent Documents 2 to 4 that are suitably used for the formation of treads for general tires, not only the component (C) diamine compound is an essential component but also the Mg salt used as the component (B) As the Zn salt, Sanshin Chemical Industry's sun ester SK-13 or SK-30, which is a commercial product, is used, and these are dimethacrylic acid Mg salt or Zn salt from the description of HP of sun ester.

Diatomaceous earth is a soft rock or soil mainly composed of diatom shell, which is a unicellular organism. Pure diatomaceous earth has a chemical composition of approximately 94% SiO 2 and 6% H 2 O, but natural diatomaceous earth is generally an impurity. Is included. The diatomaceous earth used in the present invention is a cylindrical or columnar porous body, the height (100 μm or less, preferably 1 to 30 μm) is L, and the L / D when the bottom diameter is D is L / D 0.2 to 3.0, preferably 0.3 to 2.0 are used. Specifically, it is a kind called Melosira Granulate Curbata, which has a uniform porous and unique honeycomb structure, and its typical chemical composition is SiO 2 89.2%, Al 2 O 3 4.0%, Fe 2 O 3 1.5%, CaO 0.5%, MgO 0.3%. Actually, unlike the flat diatomaceous earth generally used for horticultural applications, for example, a special cylindrical or columnar diatomaceous earth belonging to the genus genus, such diatomaceous earth is well known and marketed. Therefore, in the present invention, such a commercial product can be used.

Diatomaceous earth is used in a ratio of 2 to 13 parts by weight, preferably 3 to 12 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the diene rubber. If the blending ratio of diatomaceous earth is other than this, the performance on ice will be lowered.

As carbon black, furnace carbon black such as SAF, ISAF, HAF, FEF, GPF, SRF is generally used, which is 30 to 80 parts by weight, preferably 40 to 70 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of diene rubber. Used in proportions. If the blending ratio of carbon black is less than this, the rigidity required for tires cannot be satisfied. On the other hand, if it is used at a blending ratio higher than this, the heat generation becomes high and the low heat build-up property is impaired. .

In the diene rubber composition containing the above components as essential components, a compounding agent generally used as a compounding agent for rubber, for example, a vulcanizing agent such as sulfur depending on the type of diene rubber, thiazole , Sulfenamide, guanidine, thiuram and other vulcanization accelerators, silica, talc, clay, graphite, calcium silicate and other reinforcing agents or fillers, stearic acid, paraffin wax, aroma oil and other processing aids Antiaging agents, plasticizers and the like are appropriately blended and used as necessary.

The composition was prepared by kneading by a general method using a kneader such as a kneader, a Banbury mixer, and an open roll, and the obtained composition was a diene rubber, a vulcanizing agent, Vulcanization is performed at a vulcanization temperature corresponding to the type of vulcanization accelerator and the blending ratio thereof, and the cap tread portion 4 of the studless tire is formed as shown in FIG.

Next, the present invention will be described with reference to examples.
