Abstract
Description
図7に示した気孔径分布、及び10μmの値d50を有するFa.Ibiden(Iバイデン社)のセラミック製のウォールフロー型フィルタ基板SD031は、高融点を有する繊維材料より成るコーティングを備えている。
従来技術に従って触媒コーティングされたディーゼル粒子フィルタを製造するために、Firma Corning(コーニング社)による、アルミニウムチタネート(aluminium titanate)より成る2つのセラミック製のウォールフロー型フィルタ基板に、触媒作用をする材料より成るコーティングが施される。
本発明によるディーゼル粒子フィルタを製造するために、比較例で挙げられた、触媒コーティングされたディーゼル粒子フィルタのうちの1つに、酸化物オーバーコートが設けられる。
Claims (12)
- ディーゼル粒子フィルタであって、セラミック製のウォールフロー型フィルタ基板と、流入通路内に被着された、高融点を有する材料より成るコーティングとを含有しており、該コーティングは、流入通路と流出通路とを接続する、ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板の壁部内の複数の気孔を、煤粒子の流入側で閉鎖するが、ガス状の排ガス成分の貫流は妨げない性質を有していることを特徴とする、ディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- コーティングの大部分が、高融点を有する一種又は数種の酸化物を含有しており、該酸化物の粒径は、酸化物の粒径分布の値d50が、ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板の気孔径分布の値d5と同じであるか、又はこれよりも大きくなるように、ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板の壁部内の複数の気孔の気孔径に適合されており、それと同時に、酸化物の粒径分布の値d90が、ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板の気孔径分布の値d95と同じであるか、又はこれよりも大きくなっており、
酸化物の粒径分布の値d50若しくは値d90とは、酸化物の全量の50%若しくは90%が、直径がd50若しくはd90として提示された値よりも小さいか又はこれと同じ値の粒子のみを含有していることを意味しており、
また、ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板の気孔径分布の値d5若しくは値d95とは、水銀多気孔度測定器によって決定される全気孔の体積の5%若しくは95%が、d5若しくはd95として提示された値と同じか又はこれよりも小さい値の直径を有する複数の気孔によって形成されていることを意味している、
ことを特徴とする、ディーゼル粒子フィルタ。 - 酸化物が、5μmと同じか又はこれよりも大きい値のd50、及び20μmと同じか又はこれよりも大きい値のd90を有する粒径分布を有している、請求項2記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- 酸化物が、酸化アルミニウム、希土類金属で安定化された酸化アルミニウム、希土類金属三二酸化物、二酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム、セリウム・ジルコニウム混合酸化物、五酸化バナジウム、三酸化バナジウム、三酸化タングステン、三酸化モリブデン及びこれらの混合物より成る群より成っている、請求項3記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- コーティングが、10乃至150μmの層厚を有している、請求項4記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- コーティングの大部分が、高融点を有する繊維材料を含有しており、繊維の平均的な長さが50乃至250μmであって、繊維の質量に関連した平均的な直径が、ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板の気孔径分布の値d50と同じか又はこれよりも小さく、ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板の気孔径分布の値d50とは、水銀多気孔度測定器によって決定される全気孔体積の50%が、d50として提示された値と同じか又はこれよりも小さい値の直径を有する複数の気孔によって形成されていることを意味している、請求項1記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- 繊維材料が、5μmよりも大きい繊維直径を有する鉱質綿、ロック・ウール、自然石繊維より成る群から選定されている、請求項6記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- コーティングが、1乃至50μmの層厚を有している、請求項7記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板が、炭化ケイ素、コージライト又はチタン酸アルミニウムより製造されていて、流入通路及び流出通路間の壁部内の気孔が、5乃至50μmの平均的な直径を有している、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- ウォールフロー型フィルタ基板が、触媒作用を有するコーティング及び/又は煤点火温度を低下させるコーティングを有しており、該コーティングが、もっぱら流入通路と流出通路との間の壁部の複数の気孔内に設けられている、請求項9記載のデジーセル粒子フィルタ。
- ガス状の排ガス成分の貫流を妨げることなしに、壁部内で流入通路と流出通路とを接続する複数の気孔を煤粒子の流入側で閉鎖するように、流入通路内に施された、高融点を有する材料より成るコーティングに、追加的な触媒作用を有するコーティング及び/又は、煤点火温度を低下させる追加的なコーティングが施されている、請求項9記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
- コーティングの大部分が、高融点を有する単数又は複数の酸化物を含有しており、該コーティングに、酸化触媒作用又は還元触媒作用を有する成分、及び/又は煤点火温度を低下させる成分が、混合又は含浸によって添加されている、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載のディーゼル粒子フィルタ。
