Abstract
【解決手段】絶縁被覆電線Wは、中心導体10と、絶縁被覆20と、を備える。絶縁被覆20は、他の部位よりも薄肉でかつその少なくとも一部が径方向の外側に膨出する形状の曲げ補助部24を有し、曲げ補助部24はその伸び変形により前記絶縁被覆電線の曲げを助ける形状を有する。この絶縁被覆電線Wは、絶縁被覆電線素材の周囲に径方向外側に膨出する形状の部分を含む内面を有する金型を配置し、金型内で絶縁被覆20を加熱しかつその内外に圧力差を与えて前記金型の内面に沿った形状の曲げ補助部24を形成することにより、製造されることができる。

Description
この工程では、前記の中心導体10と絶縁被覆20とを有する通常の(すなわち絶縁被覆20の肉厚及び径が均一の)絶縁被覆電線素材が準備される。この絶縁被覆電線素材は、通常の被覆電線と同様、例えば押出し成形によって生産されることが可能である。前記絶縁被覆20の材質としては、後の加熱状態での成形のために、絶縁性に加えて熱可塑性を有する樹脂が用いられる。具体的には、架橋ポリエチレン、エチレン−エチルアクリルレート共重合樹脂、サーモプラスチックポリウレタン共重合樹脂、塩化ビニルが好適である。
これらの工程では、前記絶縁被覆電線素材の軸方向の少なくとも一部の箇所の周囲に、前記曲げ補助部24を形成するための金型が配置され、その状態で曲げ補助部24の形成が行われる。換言すれば、当該金型の内部に前記絶縁被覆電線素材の軸方向の少なくとも一部が配置され、当該金型の内部で前記曲げ補助部24の形成が行われる。この曲げ補助部24の形成は、当該曲げ補助部24の形成箇所における絶縁被覆20の内側の圧力と外側の圧力(すなわち金型内の圧力)との間に前者の圧力の方が低いような圧力差を与えることにより、行われる。このような圧力差を利用した曲げ補助部24の形成は、例えば、次の真空成形またはブロー成形にて行われることが可能である。
この真空成形は、絶縁被覆20の外側空間を減圧することにより前記圧力差を形成するものであり、例えば図3及び図4に示すような下金型30A及び上金型30B(図4は下金型30Aのみ図示)の使用により、実現される。
このブロー成形は、前記絶縁被覆20の内側に圧力ガス(例えばエア)を押し込んで当該内側を昇圧することにより、前記圧力差を形成するものであり、例えば図5〜図7に示すような金型装置の使用により、実現される。

Claims (6)
- 中心導体と、絶縁性を有する合成樹脂材料からなり、前記中心導体を被覆する絶縁被覆と、を備え、当該絶縁被覆が曲げ補助部を有する絶縁被覆電線を製造するための方法であって、
中心導体と、絶縁性を有する熱可塑性樹脂材料からなって前記中心導体を被覆する絶縁被覆と、を有する絶縁被覆電線素材を用意する工程と、
前記絶縁被覆電線素材の軸方向の少なくとも一部の箇所の周囲に当該絶縁被覆電線素材の外周面に対して径方向外側に膨出する形状の部分を含む内面を有する金型を配置する工程と、
当該金型内において前記絶縁被覆を構成する熱可塑性樹脂材料が軟化する温度まで当該絶縁被覆を加熱した状態で当該絶縁被覆の内側の圧力が前記金型内における当該絶縁被覆の外側の圧力よりも低くなるような圧力差を与えることにより、当該絶縁被覆に、前記金型の内面に沿った形状の前記曲げ補助部であって、他の部分よりも当該絶縁被覆の肉厚が小さくかつ当該曲げ補助部の伸び変形により前記絶縁被覆電線の曲げを助ける形状の曲げ補助部を形成する工程と、を含む、絶縁被覆電線の製造方法。 - 請求項1記載の絶縁被覆電線の製造方法であって、前記金型内における絶縁被覆の内側の圧力と外側の圧力との間の圧力差は、当該金型内を排気して減圧することに与えられる、絶縁被覆電線の製造方法。
- 請求項1記載の絶縁被覆電線の製造方法であって、前記金型内における絶縁被覆の内側の圧力と外側の圧力との間の圧力差は、前記絶縁被覆電線素材の少なくとも一方の端部から前記金型内で加熱している絶縁被覆の内側に圧力ガスを押し込むことにより与えられる、絶縁被覆電線の製造方法。
- 絶縁被覆電線であって、

前記絶縁被覆は、その軸方向の一部の箇所に形成される曲げ補助部を有し、この曲げ補助部は、他の部位よりも薄肉でかつその少なくとも一部が前記絶縁被覆電線の径方向の外側に膨出する形状であって当該曲げ補助部の伸び変形により前記絶縁被覆電線の曲げを助ける形状を有する、絶縁被覆電線。 - 請求項4記載の絶縁被覆電線であって、前記曲げ補助部は、前記絶縁被覆電線の全周にわたって膨出することにより当該曲げ補助部以外の部分よりも大きな内径及び外径を有する少なくとも一つの全周膨出部を含む、絶縁被覆電線。
- 請求項5記載の絶縁被覆電線であって、前記曲げ補助部は、前記絶縁被覆電線の軸方向に間欠的に並ぶ複数の位置でそれぞれ全周にわたって膨出することにより当該曲げ補助部以外の部分よりも大きな内径及び外径を有する複数の大径部と、これらの大径部のうち互いに隣接する大径部同士の間に位置して当該大径部の内径及び外径よりも小さな内径及び外径を有する小径部と、を交互に有し、これら大径部及び小径部が全体として蛇腹状をなす、絶縁被覆電線。
