液晶混合物(7)のイオン化構成成分がイオン交換膜(9)において排出され、液晶混合物(7)から除去されるように、電気透析セル(2、8)の外側に配置されるアノード/カソードの配置(15,16)によって、第1電気透析セル(2)を通過する液晶混合物(7)の方向を横切る電界を発生する方法。 - 第1電気透析セル(2)に、液晶混合物(7)を多数回通過させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1電気透析セル(2)に相応する、イオン交換膜(9)および隣接する第2電気透析セル(8)および電界の配置を有する複数の電気透析セルに、液晶混合物(7)を引き続き通過させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 1時間より長く、好ましくは4時間より長い時間をかけて、第1電気透析セル(2)に液晶混合物(7)を通過させることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 使用する濃縮溶液(14)は、脱イオン水であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 使用するイオン交換膜(9)は、10ボルトより高く、好ましくは80ボルトより高く、特に好ましくは400ボルト以上の破壊電圧を有する膜であり、
イオン交換膜(9)における電圧の最大限の低下に影響を与えるが、破壊電圧よりは低い電位差を、アノード/カソードの配置(15,16)によって予め特定することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 当該方法を行っている間、アノード(15)およびカソード(16)を変圧器油(19)で勢いよく流すことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 液晶混合物(7)および濃縮溶液(14)を搬送するために、低脈動ポンプを使用することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第1電気透析セル(2)に導入する前に、液晶混合物(7)を完全に混合および均質化することを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
