Claims (13)
- 核分裂性物質を含む炉心(14)及び当該炉心を実質的に覆う上部炉心板(40)を収容する圧力容器(10)と、制御棒集合体(80)を炉心の内外へ案内するための、延伸した軸方向の長さを有する制御棒案内管(54)とより成り、当該制御棒案内管が上部炉心板と当該上部炉心板の上方に支持された上部支持板(46)との間を延びる原子炉であって、当該制御棒案内管は、
第1の端部が当該上部炉心板(40)に連結され、第2の端部が中間連結具(86)のところで終端する案内管下部(78)と、
第1の端部が当該上部支持板(46)に連結され、第2の端部が当該中間連結具(86)のところで終端する案内管上部(84)と、
実質的に当該中間連結具(86)のところで支持され、当該案内管下部(78)または当該案内管上部(84)の少なくとも一方の内部へ有限な距離だけ軸方向に延入する延伸型制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)と
から成ることを特徴とする原子炉。 - 前記制御棒集合体(80)が複数の制御棒(28)から成り、当該制御棒の少なくとも一部が前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の軸方向の実質的に全長にわたり連続的に案内される、請求項1の原子炉。
- 一部の前記制御棒(28)が、前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の軸方向長さに沿う不連続な、離隔した軸方向の高さ(98、108)のところで案内される、請求項2の原子炉。
- 前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の基軸(110)に沿って延びる前記制御棒(28)が、前記制御棒案内アセンブリの軸方向の実質的に全長にわたり連続的に案内される、請求項3の原子炉。
- 前記制御棒(28)の全てが前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の軸方向の実質的に全長にわたり連続的に案内される、請求項2の原子炉。
- 前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の軸方向の長さが約1.6〜23インチ(4.1〜58.4cm)の範囲である、請求項5の原子炉。
- 前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の軸方向の長さが約1.6〜7インチ(4.1〜17.8cm)の範囲である、請求項6の原子炉。
- 前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)が第1の軸方向に延びるセグメント(94)と第2の軸方向に延びるセグメント(92)とから成り、当該第1のセグメントは前記案内管下部(78)内へ延入し、当該第2のセグメントは前記案内管上部(84)内へ延入することを特徴とする、請求項1の原子炉。
- 前記第1のセグメント(94)の上端部は第1の案内板(98)で終端し、前記第2のセグメント(92)の下端部は第2の案内板(96)で終端し、当該第1および第2の案内板は前記中間連結具(86)のところで結合されることを特徴とする、請求項8の原子炉。
- 前記第1および第2の案内板(98、96)は全ての前記制御棒が通過する孔(72)を有し、前記第1の案内板の孔と前記第2の案内板の対応する孔とを整列させるために、前記第1および第2の案内板はそれぞれ位置決め孔(100)または位置決めピンを有することを特徴とする、請求項9の原子炉。
- 前記第1の案内板(98)および前記第2の案内板(96)はそれぞれ縁辺部に半径方向に延びるフランジを有し、各々のフランジは前記中間連結具(86)の半径方向内側上の凹部内へ延入し、前記中間連結具によって締め付けられることを特徴とする、請求項9の原子炉。
- 前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の軸方向の長さが約0.9〜23インチ(2.3〜58.4cm)の範囲である、請求項1の原子炉。
- 前記制御棒案内アセンブリ(90)の軸方向の長さが約0.9〜7インチ(2.3〜17.8cm)の範囲であることが望ましい、請求項12の原子炉。
