Description of the Related Art In a connector, a relay terminal or the like, one end of an electric wire is connected to a conductor portion such as a plurality of contacts or terminals provided thereon, and a short circuit accident or the like of the connection portion is prevented. There is a structural part for accommodating these so as to insulate them from each other and to insulate them from the outside. A connector will be described as an example of such a conventional wire connection insulating structure with reference to the drawings. FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing an example of a conventional wire connection insulating structure, and FIGS.
(D) is the top view, side view, and partial sectional enlarged view. The connector 100a of this example includes an electric wire connection portion 21 for connecting the electric wire 200 at one end, and a plurality of contacts 2 having the other end in contact with a contact of an inserted mating connector, and a first side surface. A plurality of connection portion storage holes 13 that are open, and a mating connector mating portion 12 that mates with a mating connector on a second side surface facing the first side surface, and a wire connection portion of a plurality of contacts. A connector housing 1a for connecting the conductor 201 portions of the electric wires 200 respectively corresponding to the connector housings 21 to respectively accommodate the electric wire connection portions 21 in the plurality of connection portion storage holes 13 and holding the plurality of contacts 2 at predetermined portions. Is provided.

By doing so, the wire connection portions 21 are insulated from each other, and these wire connection portions 21 are insulated from the outside. And the electric wire connection part 21 connects the conductor 201 of the electric wire 200 and the contact 2 to each other,
The outer dimensions are larger than the contact connection portions of the electric wires 200 and the contacts 2 with the mating connectors, and the connection portion storage holes 13 for storing the electric wire connection portions 21 can be arranged in a line when the number increases. No longer possible, Figure 6
As shown in (d) and the like, it has to be arranged in two rows and in a staggered pattern with respect to each other. Further, the connection portion storage hole 13 is formed in the connector housing 1a,
A predetermined thickness is required to maintain the strength after formation.

When the connection portion storage holes 13 are formed and in order to maintain the strength after formation, the connection portion storage holes 13 need to have a predetermined thickness. The thickness of the connector housing 1a at the portion where the connector is formed is thicker than the thickness of the mating portion of the mating connector, and accordingly, there is a problem that the size of an apparatus using this connector is increased. When used in an overlapping manner, the number of connectors to be overlapped is limited by the external dimensions of the device, which lowers the mounting density. That, there is a problem in that. Also,
There is also a problem that it is difficult to form the connection portion storage hole 13 and it is difficult to store the wire connection portion.

Enough strength,
While maintaining insulation, it can be made sufficiently thinner than the thickness of the housing, and this wire connection storage portion can be made as thick as the other portions of the housing, for example, the mating connector mating portion, It is possible to reduce the size of the device and improve the mounting density. Furthermore, if the surface of the housing in which the groove is formed is cut off by the thickness of the insulating cover and the insulating cover is adhesively fixed, the thickness of the wire connection housing portion is the same as the other portions of the housing. be able to.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention in which an insulating cover is not fixed and fixed, and a perspective view of a state in which the insulating cover is fixed and fixed. FIG. 2 is a plan view of this embodiment. It is the side view and partial sectional enlarged view. In this embodiment, the present invention is applied to a connector, and an electric wire connecting portion 21 for connecting the electric wire 200 is provided at one end.
A plurality of contacts 2 whose other ends are in contact with and connected to the contacts of the inserted mating connector, and a plurality of grooves 11 are formed on the front and back surfaces to hold each of the plurality of contacts 2 at a predetermined position and to contact these contacts. A connector housing 1 made of an insulating material for accommodating each of the two wire connection portions 21 corresponding to the plurality of grooves 11, and a plurality of wires 200

The front and back surfaces of the connector housing 1 are flush with each other. That is, in the connector housing 1, the thickness of the mating connector mating portion 12 and the thickness of the wire connection housing portion (the groove 11 and the insulating cover 3) are the same (H1). In this embodiment, since the portion for accommodating the electric wire connection portion 21 is the groove 11, the formation is easy and the electric wire connection portion 21 in a state where the electric wires are connected is easily stored.

The thickness can be made smaller than H2 = S + 2t2 of the conventional example, and the external dimensions of the device using the connector 100 can be reduced, and the miniaturization can be realized. Compared with + d, HH2 = 4H2 + 3d = 4S + 8t2 + 3d, the thickness t2 of the connection portion storage hole 13 of the conventional example becomes the thickness t1 of the film thickness of the insulating cover 3 of the present invention (in the case where four are stacked, , 8 (dimension of t2−t1)) in the present invention. Therefore, the size of the device can be reduced, and when the external dimensions of the device are specified, the number of devices to be used repeatedly can be increased, and the mounting density can be increased.

And the insulating cover 3 is bonded and fixed to this portion. The thickness of the insulating cover 3 is not limited to the thickness of the mating connector mating portion 12 of the connector housing 1 but of the conventional example. Since the thickness of the connection portion storage hole 13 is sufficiently thinner, the thickness of the electric wire connection storage portion of the connector housing 1 can be reduced even if the above-mentioned portion is not cut off by the thickness of another portion (the mating connector mating portion 12 and the like). Forming and accommodating the wire connection portions of the plurality of connection conductors in each of the plurality of grooves,
The plurality of connection conductors are held at predetermined positions in the housing, and the plurality of electric wires are respectively connected to the plurality of electric wire connection portions. By adhering and fixing a film-shaped insulating cover to the predetermined surface of
It is easy to form the groove of the wire connection storage part and the storage of the wire connection part is easy. Moreover, the wire connection storage part of the housing is maintained by the film-shaped insulating cover while maintaining sufficient strength and insulation. The thickness of the device can be made smaller than that of the conventional example, so that the size of the device can be reduced. Also, even when a plurality of stages are used, the number of stages can be increased, and the mounting density can be increased. There is an effect that it can be done.
