(2) In order to ensure insulation between the dielectric barrier discharge lamp 60 and the casing 80, it is necessary to provide the ceramic bases 82 at both ends of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp 60, and therefore the dielectric barrier discharge. Lamp 60
The support structure of is complicated. (3) The outer surface of the lamp body 70 of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp 60 becomes considerably contaminated due to discharge or the like when it is lit, and as a result, the light output of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp 60. Will fall early. In order to solve this, the outer surface of the lamp body 70 may be cleaned. However, in the above configuration, since the outer electrode 74 is integrally attached to the outer peripheral surface of the lamp body 70, the lamp body 70 is It is difficult to remove only 70 alone, and therefore the usable period of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp 60 cannot be extended.

A dielectric barrier discharge lamp device is configured by mounting the dielectric barrier discharge lamp device on the lamp mounting part. The mounting procedure is as follows. (1) First, the lamp body 30 is arranged so that the inner electrode 22 is inserted into the inner tube 32 of the lamp body 30 with the outer electrode 13 being opened. (2) Next, the outer electrode 13 in the opened state is closed, and the other end is fixed to the cooling block 11 with the screw 16, so that the lamp body 30 is pressed against the cooling block 11 by the outer electrode 13. Hold in the state. (3) Then, the sliding sleeve 24 of the inner electrode 22 is shown in FIG.
The outer diameter of the inner electrode 22 is increased by moving the inner electrode 22 in the direction opposite to the arrow X, so that the inner electrode 22 is brought into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the inner tube 32 of the lamp body 30 while being pressed.

Moreover, the surface of the lamp body can be thoroughly cleaned, and the usable period of the lamp can be extended. Further, the lamp mounting portion is formed by a cooling block, and the structure for holding the lamp body by the cooling block and the discharge electrode provided in the casing simplifies the supporting structure of the lamp body.
